"I shouldn't be picking up white items" -- Them's fightin words! :D I've been selling/disenchanting everything and it's fun. Overall, the game is very difficult for me, I picked something particularly off meta (bow witch) and am struggling at the trials a lot. I did it to myself though since bow builds are notoriously demanding of good equipment. The abilities and movement feel fantastic, but my damage is blegh.

Yeah, I hope they change that, with loot disappearing when you die, that's so dumb and doesn't make the game good, just feels bad.

Generally, it's an anti-cheat/anti-cheese feature. This particular instance may be bugged though, the timing was bad. Mobs are respawned, dropped loot is cleared, Boss health is 100% regen'd. It's a consequence of the new disconnect behavior, you can no longer play hardcore and setup a "exit to character select" macro to save your character from death. The game will now reload you where you were about to die so good play is incentivized over glass cannons with a fast disconnect hand. It's a great change.

Why do people like losing loot upon death? That doesn't make any sense to me.

@@kirktown2046 Sure, maybe that's true, but it feels bad. I understand that they want to incentivize people to get better at the game, but it shouldn't be at the cost of losing items that dropped when I killed the mob or boss, and I somehow die either from an exploding corpse or environmental hazard. I Should be able to use the checkpoint to go back and pick up the loot that the boss dropped. I understand that's how the game is designed but to me, and maybe to some others, it doesn't feel good.

Not feeling this game at all, the rolling really doesn't add to it.

I think it's a preference thing. I'm loving it so fall. Instead of feeling I need better gear/ build or I hitting my head against a wall. It feels like I just need to learn the boss moveset. Haven't reached the endgame yet so don't know how it'll feel later on.

The rolling is just a tool for specific enemy moves or navigating the occasional swarm, like any tool, use with intent.

Personally I love it so far and feels like it adds nice rythm to the gameplay.

PoE2 is what arpgs are supposed to be. Not constantly being fed rare items rendering blue items completely pointless filler. You actually have to be aware of your skill point path, your items, using your consumables to make gear that is useful. The roll is not a core skill to be spamming, it's for dodging big hits.

if you told me this was diablo 4 i wouldnt be able to tell. the grimdark art direction is drab and boring to look at across the board

Its not the looks what sells this game. Its character build options and replayability. Even tho more than half of the weapons and classses are missing, its still superior to d4 in this regard.

maybe u should see a doctor, the graphics and physics are the next lvl of arpgs, miles ahead of d4 and not comparable the slightest
