Leaning a new keyboard layout doesn't require you to forget qwerty. It's like learning another language. You don't immediately lose your mother tounge once you become fluent in the new one. The best example of this is for us who use Dvorak or other alternative keyboard layouts for their PC's, we still use a qwerty for our phone's, as the benefits of Dvorak appear (and others) when touch typing and thus have no value on mobile. Dan, I know you're never going to read this, but it's a fun thing to do if you're really bored or genuinely want to increase your typing speed. It takes a sec to mentally change your muscle memory between the two, but it's very very doable.
