Going thru high school I was privileged enough to have Paul Garza as not only my freshman English teacher, but my senior English teacher. Many students would talk bad about him and his lectures he would give, but that man spoke from the heart every time and cared for his students. I enjoyed every minute in his classes, and this man is not only a great teacher..he's a great composer, writer, singer, father, and human being. Great music!!!

I remember listening to to Paul Garza and the Force in the early 80's. I thought it was Mazz until I heard: This is the Force! Great sound!

Cuz joe lopez was and is to this day, May 11, 2022, the conceited person he has always been, he use to get so coked up and drunk that he cancelled gigs never caring about his fans, im from brownsville de la southmost area, and i knew this cat since he played with the Belair band in the early 70s, and he use to not be the way he is now, the fame will make anybody change. Recently what i hated most was the way he did to the sons of the REAL MAZZ and the late Mr. Jimmy Gonzalez, when Jimmy was still with us Jimmy always use to say Jimmy Gonzalez y el grupo MAZZ and Joe Lopez never said a word about Jimmy using the name MAZZ, but when he passed away, his sons carried on with the legacy of MAZZ but Joe immediately put a stop to that and threatened those guys with legal action if they continued usi g the name MAZZ, so Jimmy's kids stopped using the name MAZZ 😡 and the sad thing about this matter is that Joe has done shit to honor the passing of the REAL MAZZ, MR. JIMMY GONZALEZ, it's like i said his always been like that tangerine racist coward Trump, it's all about him and him alone. Furthermore, he went on the Armando San Roman radio show, and cried to him that the name MAZZ was his and his alone and that Jimmy's kids better stopped using the name MAZZ cuz he would take them to court if they didn't stop, well, you know the truth of the matter is, that back in the late 70s when MAZZ was MAS, Joe and Jimmy were trying to figure out a better way to make the name MAS be more profound or make it stand out More, so Jimmy being the genius that he always was, came out with the idea that since Jimmy's last name ended with a Z and Joe's last name ended with a Z as well they both agreed to use the Z to MAZZ and do away with the letter S in the name MAS, and add the two ZZs to MAZZ, and that is how the name MAZZ came about, alot of people don't know this, but that's the truth, i was and forever will be a fan of MAZZ with the late Jimmy grammy Gonzalez, cuz i have so many unforgettable memories with their songs and the partys after their gigs, but not of this MAZZ with Joe, Jimmy always, always kept the same beat the same sound of the old MAZZ even after they broke up, he kept MAZZ alive and REAL, este vato joe, nombre nomas no, he will never make it happen not even with Brando Mireles as his new keyboard player, Joe has a great voice nobody can take that away, but that's about it, I'm not hating nor am i a hater by any means, but that weak move Joe pulled on Jimmy's boys by threatening them with legal action if they didn't stop using the name MAZZ was just unnecessary, Joe was just jealous of Jimmy's success after they broke up that's all, he was hating on Jimmy,🙏 God bless you all 🤟
