Late to this- but for the cold shower thing, I’m in the absolute same boat but the benefits of cold exposure amazes me bc it’s supposed to be so good. Apparently one way to get into it without giving up warm showers or anything is to change the temp to cold for the last minute (and then increase the length of time over showers as you go to build up to like 5 minutes to get the benefits)

Yessss I love a cold shower! It's so refreshing, I shower normally and then turn it to cool (not ice cold) and just repeat mantras to myself "it's just cool water flowing over my body, everything is okay, this isn't forever" and maybe channel a little Wim Hof into it. I love a bit of cryotherapy! But I don't really do it so much in winter, and I don't live in a place as cold as Canada haha.

I live in Vancouver now too!! .. and ugh the EAST SIDE DOCKS! hahaha remember in colllege we used to always bike down there for the T&T and the Asian night market that happens at the end of the summer.
