My friends got married recently and they had brownie stacks instead of a wedding cake and had little gift boxes for every guest to take a couple of brownies with them. It meant nothing went to waste and they didn’t have to spend loads of money on a big cake either!

My mum did the exact same with my dress. She knew straight away! Also you’re so right with our wedding half the things I thought I wanted was just society pressure too. Do what suits you both! Can’t wait to see you as a bride. Sending me back to my wedding 2 years ago! 😊

We had a destination wedding and we did a small cake with cupcakes as a tower and everyone took a cupcake in a box at the end as a late night snack! 😊 and we ate the small cake with our immediate family the day after

For my wedding we ended up catering our cake for 20 people less than how many guests we had, and still ended up having some leftover! We only spent a a small amount on it and it was from the cheesecake shop you wouldn’t even know! But I’m pretty sure you can get cakes that are half real half fake with styrofoam and covered in icing :)

We had a small wedding and even then people didn’t eat the cake. So definitely skip it and something easier if you do still want dessert like cupcakes or donuts. But definitely save money and skip the cake!
