One of my biggest tips to incoming freshmen is to introduce yourself to at least one person in each of your classes on the first day (even if it’s just the person sitting next to you) and exchange numbers! Easiest way to make a friend and everyone is hoping to do the same so don’t get nervous about what they may think! You absolutely will need each other’s help at least once

to bring more attention to the question about moving to go to college and choosing what school, coming from someone who stayed local (because of financial reasons) i would also say dont be defeated because youre not in the best situation to make that move right away that could be financially or etc, going off to college after hs isn’t everyone’s path and that’s okay, just know school is always there if thats from community college to university or straight to university, dont be pressured by everyone around you, you should follow what your mind and heart pulls you to, sometimes it just takes time to have that calling of where to go and theres always room for improvement and life is always about taking risks

omg hi, i love your videos!!! i’m also a 4th year and one thing i can say for sure is definitely research the schools of choice, it does help make the process of committing to a school a bit easier! i had the same issue when transferring from a cc to a 4 year when it came to two of my top choices and after researching both, i made my decision and i couldn’t be happier

I never really comment on youtube videos, but I had to respond to this one because it really touched me. Your initial college experience sounds a lot like mine. I myself am used to moving around and starting over a lot because my dad was in the navy for a while, and we moved to a few states and also moved around a lot in those states. So I was no stranger to that. But though I was used to those kinds of things, I never did well with them. Moving into my dorm my initial freshman year was too much for me to handle. I hated rooming with strangers for one, and the academic side of things was awful for me as well. I hardly had to try at all throughout my k-12 years. I didn't have to put in much effort at all to get A's and B's, so I never developed any good study habits. Starting college classes and realizing that they were much harder than anything I had done before stunted me, and I completely shut down. I hardly ever left my room, and I barely went to my classes and labs, and I hardly did my work. I failed a lot of my classes. But when spring semester rolled around I started feeling a bit better. I got out of my room more and did more of my work. Unfortunately by that point the damage had been done and when spring semester ended I got recessed for a year. Thankfully I was readmitted and I am able to start attending my college again starting this fall semester. I am still a freshman unfortunately, but that is just the price I have to pay for the mistakes I made. To anyone who is reading this that may be in a similar situation, don't give up hope. I know it sucks now, but trust me when I say that things do get better

Tip: if you want a candle in your dorm and don't wanna break the rules last year for my dorm i got a candle warmer plate off amazon and used it almost every single day. Love it worked perfectly and was completely legal
