I got a question: aren't there distinctive features to the bride's dress and accesories that make her stand out? I mean, there must be a point where someone creates a look so fancy and full of details that they might be confused with the bride, like getting mhendi done or using some type of veil or nose jewelery (I apologise if I wrote any of those things wrong)

Yes there is the main ritual is that where the bride and groom wear red lehenga/saree and shervani respectively. But nowadays both wear whatever colour clothes of their choices . And bride is the only one who wear the heavy lehanga and, heavy and real jewellery . And in Indian ritual the bride is considered as Goddess Lakshmi ( Goddess of wealth, health,love and good deeds, etc.) and groom is considered as Lord Vishnu (Lord of multiverse , operator of all living beings, truth,love and also good deeds ,etc). Mainly this is not a ritual of Indian wedding, it's a ritual of hinduism wedding . Because India is a secular country that has all kind of religion in it so gradually all religion people adapt to be ready like a queen from hinduism culture. And in some of the places in India the bride wear real gold jewellery like ancient times.

I don't know how to explain but the thing is indian weddings are like 1 week of long events 😅 and they are haldi, mehendi, Sangeet, actual wedding event and then finally reception and few regions may have more events as per there religion. I don't know much about other cultures but indian weddings are fun, emotional and extremely exhausting😂

If you are the main character then it’ll show when it’s time. Acting confident will bring attention towards you. It's the same no matter where the wedding is. You don't outshine the bride. The only difference is the level. If a western bride is level 4 fancy, then guests dress level 2 fancy. If an Indian bride is level 10 fancy then guests are level 5 fancy. It's all about perspective, everyone just wants to put down western brides

But guests in india can still not outshine the bride even if they wanted to.
