I don't know about the toothbrush and deodorant situation. But this are independent kids. They might be taught in a different way than you would maybe?. The bus was already there. Bodhi has autism and didn't even eat solid food a couple years ago, but there he was, struggling to put his shoes, but he did it alone, he amazes me all the time with how much he improves toward his independence. The rest of the kids know even their siblings favorites of everything, they pay attention and spend time with each other!!! They play by themselves, they all have friends and go places without the need of mom and dad. Daily tasks for some kids/adults with some conditions can be really tricky, and they can be independent anyway. And some of the kids also spent time in foster care, changing places, routine is not something they really knew what it was so they might struggle a little still, nothing wrong with that, all of them would get there, trust me they would get to the deodorant

My grandma was a perfectionist and she said she would rather do everything rather than my aunts and dad help her out with the housework and grandma having to re-do everything. Ppl need to leave them alone about the chores. Every house has something that works for their house.

I always thought what you packed in their lunch was their lunch and snacks? We have snack, lunch, snack and I pack fruit for first snack, lunch item like sandwich and a small treat, and then something fun for last snack.. basically what you have in their lunch or less for the entire day.

Sorry, this is very false! My Mom, from a family of 12 had a dust rag in her hand as soon as she could walk and her and her siblings ran the house! She had no childhood sadly. My siblings and I never did a thing, my Mom said NO, you will be doing all of this yourself as an adult for your entire life. Your job is to be a kid because thats the shortest and most fun part of life! She required good grades. I would ask for chores to earn money for things I wanted, but, I had to show all of my completed homework first. I wasnt allowed to clean toilets though😂. Just sharing with you that my experience is fact, yours is opinion. My Moms siblings children/my cousins, also didn't do chores. We all have gratitude our pareants let us be kids! Good job, Alicia❤ Guess what? We have spotless clean houses, never owned a mop, hands and knees with a toothbrush along mouldings, we are great cooks, budgeters, highly educates 😊We are very, very responsible and we are kind, even to people who are bitter, hateful or mentally abusive:) Kindness makes life beautiful:)

I’m guessing it’s just easier for you do everything so that nothing gets forgotten with so many kiddies. Also children with addition needs find organising themselves harder so finding toothpaste and that process would easily get forgotten too. I get it! Hopefully as they grow they will be able to help themselves more. anything to make everyday easier right!! you’re doing amazing!

At this point they are addicted to the junk/sugar. Also it takes time to prepare from scratch healthy meals. I'm assuming she doesn't have the time to prep 3 meals plus snacks all from scratch healthy. Healthy food is time consuming. I made tomato pie all from scratch, including pie dough rest time it took me 4 hours. This lady does not have that kind of time.
