It's probably not good for mental health, but I live in a super small town, and I have no friends here, and all my family is 12 hrs away so it makes it so much easier to stay home. Yes to the look with the other colours!!! I love when you do colourful ones! As for the trips I feel like you could use it as an opportunity to travel and create memories with Porter. I know he's still young but why wait to create these memories just when he's older? I know my parents took me places when I was younger that I don't quite remember but I do have the memory of loving my childhood. You of course don't need to go to all of them but a few a year? Could be fun for your whole family, specially you having this kind of job that allows you to take these trips.

I just had my first baby back in November and I agree with you 100% on not wanting to leave your baby. Every moment is so precious and you won’t get that time back. While having the opportunity to go on those trips is amazing, the opportunity to be there for moments with your baby is even more special in my opinion. But I’m also a home body at heart lol.

I don't think it's rude or selfish to turn down a brand trip, it's great you've been invited but that's all it is an invite you don't have to go if you don't want too. All you're doing is giving up the spot for someone else who would want to go so don't feel bad about that! I love listening to anything while I'm getting ready, DnB, EDM, Metalcore, Rock, Pop, Chillstep it just depends on my mood. I’m a massive homebody! I’m an introvert so for me socialising and stuff literally makes me so tired and I’m so happy just doing my own thing haha. In terms of brand trips and stuff, I personally prefer following people who don’t necessarily get in on brand stuff all the time because I find it seems a bit inauthentic sometimes if that makes sense? Like do you actually like the brand or are you just in it for free trips haha. I would much rather watch these kinds of videos and see photos on insta of your everyday life than see brand trips and stuff. But don’t feel bad for doing what feels right for you! ❤

I think post 2020 so much has changed and honestly I don’t care about what the trend is I like doing my makeup how I feel like it sometimes it’s casual and light and other times I like full on glam! Shan! I’ve seen some other influencers set up their own brand trips. They work with a travel company and they get brands to sponsor it. You should totally set one up for influencer moms and the babies/kids come along. I’ve also seen them work with travel companies and set up trips with their subscribers. I’m sure it pays their travel expenses and probably even a salary. It’s probably a lot to organize but maybe you can get friends to help you and it’s been really successful for them. I don’t know but just an idea?

you absolutely dont sound stupid or selfish! i'm the furthest thing from an influencer, and i've thought about how cool a vacation like that would be, but like you said, i'm a huge homebody, know no one, and with how insecure i am, i'd definitely be comparing myself to the other girls there. theres so many influencers that even as a part of this generation, i have no clue who they are🤷🏼‍♀️ plus, not to be THAT person, but i get snotty vibes from some of them😅 and i dont get those vibes from you. you and (most of) the influencers who have been in this industry for years actually seem so grateful for what you have, and i don't feel that way about the newer influencers. now i'm just ranting lol but basically, you do whatever you're comfortable with. no one can tell you what you should or shouldn't do. yes, its a huge opportunity and youre very grateful to have the chance to go, but that doesnt change the fact that so much has changed, both in the industry and you as a person💜

very relatable video. I am a homebody, I was once a traveler and explorer but since covid, graduation from school and my 17 yr old dog passing, i have changed . I am at home enjoying the time I am getting with my other two aging dogs. I feel too nervous and guilty leaving them. my outlook of the world is just different for the time being. I dont feel as safe or comfortable leaving home anymore . If Hamish is big into rollercoasters then he needs to go to Cedar Point. It's in Sandusky, Ohio - not a big tourist area by any means but CP is THE roller coaster capital of the world. Cleveland, Ohio is semi-near and there ia the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and next door is the Great Lakes Sciemce Center. Cleveland also has a phenominal theater scene. It also has an airport and many places are very short flights away.

As a mum I have found that we tend to put our family first over everything else. We need to remember that it is healthy to go away and miss our family and them miss us. If you come to New York City, please take a moment to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge! It’s lovely. I also strongly suggest walking over the Manhattan Bridge! The walking path on the Manhattan bridge is on the outer part. The trains rumble by you and you feel the bridge shake! Some people gasp and yell at how much it shakes. I’m not gonna lie, the first time I tried walking over it I turned around because I was so scared. 😂 now it’s an old hat. The view is incredible. Most people just do the Brooklyn Bridge (that walk pathway is in the center of the bridge) but I tell tourits to go on the Manhattan bridge. Also they are close to each other- you can do both then end the day in Brooklyn Bridge Park. It is huuuuge and has kayaking, tons of beautiful areas and restaurants. Also look up the Promenade-another nice walkway in Brooklyn Heights. Sorry for this crazy long comment😅

You should do whatever feels right for you. Need a break from your current lifestyle and want to enjoy a trip? Nothing wrong with that. There’s also nothing wrong with being content and wanting to be with your family. That’s great too. Also, the voiceover is enjoyable too. I don’t mind it. I think I enjoy the direct-talking to the camera a little more, but honestly not an issue to do a voiceover!

Hey Shan, I’ve been watching you for years & you’ve gotten me thru so many hard times! I really miss your lipstick swatch vids from a whole range (that’s how I originally found you). I realise it’s a lot of wastage, but I see it as one person (ie you) yes have everything, but so WE just buy the one or two we want. Or same thing with any other product. Full faces are relaxing to watch, but I don’t wear all products. Just an idea! Do you ever think about partnering with MAC again? I loved all those ❤ 💋

Love this audio style, I'm focusing on your technique more whereas before I only stared at your eyes and teeth.

Do whatever feels right. If right now your heart wants to spend as much time with you baby as possible, that's valid. If you want to go places, that's also valid. I don't think you should go just to go if it doesn't feel right - I don't think we should strive for growth (business wise) just to grow, if you are happy with where you are at, it's okay to just enjoy what you've built for yourself without feeling like you need to do more all the time. I don't think that's you being ungrateful, it's you being human.
