I have personally decided to never have children and the audacity some people have to tell me “oh you’ll change your mind once you’re older! (I’m 28 for reference lol), what if your husband wants kids?, your life won’t be fulfilled without kids, you won’t know true love without kids” These statements are from RANDOM people. I just think it’s very rude to not ask the question if people want kids, I get people are curious, but to completely disregard your answer and tell you basically that your answer is “wrong” is just baffling to me.

Ladies thank you for not having children you do not want. All children deserve to be wanted. All children deserve parents, not all parents deserve children, as it is. And unfortunately many children enter the world unwanted as it is. It infuriates me when people say it's selfish not to have kids or that only selfish people don't. I vehemently disagree. I think people who have kids they don't want, or that people who have kids for the wrong reasons are selfish.

Hey India, I just wanted to tell you that I am so grateful for these videos. I'm a young woman in my late twenties, and I recently moved 1000 miles away from my hometown, all of my friends and family, to be with my husband who's in the military. All of your videos are amazing, and I initially starting watching to help understand and treat my textured hair better (which I HAVE, and it's so amazing, and thank you for all of that content as well!), but lately these vids are my favorite. It's so nice to feel like I have a girlfriend right in front of me, having these real talks and helping me to think about all kinds of things in different ways. Timing isn't always convenient for me to call my best friends or my sisters or my mother, and while my husband is a wonderful person, there are definitely times where I just need some girl time. I just wanted to thank you for all of your content, but especially this kind where I can just sit down with you and feel like I'm hanging with my bestie. Thank you SO MUCH for making the comment about how it's ok for couples to NOT have kids! Too many times I've been asked inappropriate, deeply personal questions when I simply state I don't want kids, and then deal with the onslaught of them trying to change my mind. I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone, especially regarding a subject like that. No one should. Having a child is between a couple and their health care provider, not anyone else. You gotta do you babe!

I have personally never been in a relationship (And I’m almost 29 years old) but I know what it’s like to deal with toxic friendships and believe it or not, toxic family members. The last toxic friendship I had was with a guy and he was going through hard things (His mom attempted suicide among other things) around the same time that I lost my dad and he would treat everyone around him like crap whenever he was going through something and would constantly shut me out. Long story short, I basically cut ties with him after I graduated from my masters because to put it lightly, he was an energy vampire. As far as toxic family members go, I don’t talk to my baptismal godmother/ ex- aunt because she treated me like crap for being on the autism spectrum and wrote me off as a spoiled brat. The rhythm method has been used for decades. It used to be the only birth control the catholic church allowed. You must be super regular for it to work correctly. It can be a gamble, I would recommend it only if you are in a relationship where a baby would be welcomed.
@katietheblondie3 жыл бұрын
@@labornurse the rhythm method is very outdated and doesn't work very well, but it is the most commonly known. There are sooooooo many different methods and ways to track your cycle that are sometimes better than other types of prevention, The Creighton method has a 99% of prevention rate (when not ovulating I'm pretty sure).
@labornurse3 жыл бұрын
@@katietheblondie you're right. I remember learning that if you combine it with checking cervical mucus, it's much more reliable. And I would suppose daily temp checks, to pinpoint ovulation. It's just so dicey. Have to know how long the sperm and egg live, and everyone has to have the self control to abstain.
@christink.52643 жыл бұрын
There are so many kinds of NFP approved by the Catholic and that non-religious people use that are as effect as BC. Marquette, Creighton, sympto-thermal to name a few. Knowing your body is amazing, effective and healthy. The rhythm method isn’t used anymore.

@ArmednotTriggered3 жыл бұрын
One of the tips that helped me was realizing that prayer doesn't have to be this big reverent event. Yes, I do start my day off with Bible reading and a prayer, but I find myself talking to God throughout the day too. Like, if I'm worried about something, I just say, "Lord, please calm my spirit. I'm giving this over to you and asking you to take it from me. Thank you.' And then I go to the next thing. Just a quick "thank you, Lord." Or "help me, Lord" or even "Lord, this situation sucks right now!" He knows your every thought anyway. We can't surprise or disappoint Him. And rather than wallow in those thoughts, I find that just sending up a quick, casual prayer in the same way that I would send a text message to close friend has opened up my prayer life tremendously. I pray all the time now because it's easy for me to do. There is absolutely a time for us to get in our knees and we should make time for Scripture reading during the day, but prayer doesn't always have to be this formal thing. Again, treat it like you're texting your best friend. You can vent. You can cry. You can celebrate your good news. He loves hearing from you. He wants to be close to you. And you don't have to pretend with Him or go out of your way to prepare your words. Just talk. He'll listen. Maybe that could work for you too! 😊

only some women stop ovulating and menstruating on the hormonal IUD, especially the lower dose ones like the Kyleena. so if you're still bleeding on a monthly basis, it could very well still be your "real" period, but at least 20-50% of women on the IUD will stop bleeding altogether by 1 year after getting the hormonal IUD based on research. but it's still over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy regardless if you stop bleeding or not.

India: I'm closer to your mom's age, but, I do enjoy your content. I just wanted to say, regarding prayer, is that it's a conversation with God. It really is that simple. He wants us to be close to Him and confide all of ours joys, fears, pain, sorrows, worries and everything in between to Him. Even though He already knows them, if we need help, we need to ask. You have so much for which to be thankful, so tell Him that, too. I give thanks every day, even when I'm not feeling grateful, because there is always something...if only for the gift of another day. I'm not a theologian, but, I was raised Roman Catholic, and, we practically lived at church. Just say what's in your heart..that's prayer. The only way to for sure know if I have endometriosis is through surgery but my obgyn didn’t think it was necessary to put me through surgery right now but because I have the most common symptoms she is pretty sure I have it so that is why I don’t want to flat out say I have it but say very possible instead. But anyways getting back to the point lol! So my obgyn has me taking only the three rows and not the forth so I don’t have a period at all and although it’ll be a blessing to not have to deal with one especially because of the symptoms of endometriosis that come with it I am nervous about possibly gaining weight from the birth control because even though I am average weight and am always told how tiny I am, I have struggled for a long time with my body image and I have just started to get a lot better about loving my body and I’m afraid that if I gain weight from the birth control I’ll go back to where I started with struggling with my body image

No answers. No explanations. Nothing. He may as well said "I don't want you anymore". Because that is exactly what happened. We shared grandkids. I have 2 and he has 5. His were in my life from the jump. I love them now as much as ever! I have been in their lives more than I haven't. We decided together...the grandkids and I...since they are or almost are all adults that our relationships would go on as if nothing has happened...as much as that is possible. They are all glad that we are split as the last several years have been abusive. They just want me to be happy. How do you get past needing to know "why"? What did I do? How did things change so drastically and I was never told? I am trying to start over but it is difficult. My self esteem is mutilated! Even to make just casual same sex friends to have coffee with! That's not touching dating! I feel used up and discarded. How do you move from underneath the trash can to feeling like it's ok to sit at a table again? How do I make that change without wearing it all over my face? I am hurting, and I have prayed that God heal my heart and soul, but I feel like I have no solid footing. Advice? Prayers please...

@ElizabethDohertyThomas3 жыл бұрын
I'm not her, but I think it's about whether an IUD without hormones would essentially "kill an embryo" by being a hostile environment vs the hormone IUD prevents the egg from even coming down the tube at all. The non-hormonal IUD does have some mystery behind why it works.

Elizabeth explained it well! Based on the science and research I’ve done the hormonal and nonhormonal IUDs work differently. In the non hormonal one the embryo can form and then be destroyed because it cannot implant. but with the one I have an embryo never forms. there’s some discrepancies on these, but I wanted to sit on the side of caution and get the hormonal kind for these reasons for me personally xoxo

Both sides of your face are BEAUTIFUL!!!but LOL love how you told us about the one side you like more and then only did that side when applying mascara!! 😂 I also like one side of my face better, I think everyone has a “good side” in their minds (even though other people probably don’t notice)

Girl!!! you literally have the name of my Country 😎 What does it mean, I mean who chose that for you?.. as in our tradition everyone's name has got a meaning n it is highly debatable when keeping a child's name...

Bleeding when you're on birth control that stops ovulation is called "withdrawal bleeding" and it's totally normal for this to look and feel different from a regular period because it is different!

How did you know that your current husband isn't toxic? I saw a few of your videos with him and he raised all kinds of red flags. How do you know that someone is truly toxic?

Just saying, maybe this is just my experience but, when I got my IUD Taken out..girl! My Hormones were off the charts! I was watching a movie when I got it taken out and it had nothing to do with being sad! The characters in the film were just running and I started doing!🤣🤣🤣 I was crying about everything for a week! Plus, I was driving my family insane!🤣 I did some research on the affects of getting a IUD taken out and it's called a Mierana crash! Your hormones have to adjust to not having the tiny bit of progesterone and it's just a emotional rollercoaster! I hope you don't have the same experience that I had when ever you decide to get it removed. Lol. God bless!

I’m actually really curious how the patch works for girls. I can’t ever imagine getting an IUD, I would be so uncomfortable knowing that there is something up there. I feel like the patch is a super convenient form of contraception. I’m definitely looking into it for when my sweetheart and I are reunited. Curious about what other girls think. Xx ♥️
