*standing ovation meme* 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Heck to the YES girl!! I love the authenticity and the realness!!! I love this direction of your channel and it feels so real to who you are!! I miss old KZbin where people posted to connect and share and just have fun!! We get enough consumerism shoved in our faces on social media, and you are (and have been) a breath of fresh air! ❤ I think things are shifting in a good direction and even if not, we have this lovely corner of the internet that you’ve curated as a safe space in so many ways! ALSO this look is gorgeous! And you are gorgeous! 😊

It’s difficult to know where to start, Rachel. Spending time with you has enriched my life and taken me on a stroll down memory lane. My 30’s were defined by devoting time for additional degrees, realizing that my best efforts weren’t going to be enough for some of my students, a crumbling relationship, therapy, divorce, and more therapy. You’re wise to be careful with spending habits and sticking with good products for years. New isn’t always better. I finally felt the “wind beneath my wings” in my 40’s and I predict you will, as well. Keep reminding us about your Shopmy page and links with discounts. You deserve all that you earn. Thank you for allowing us into your world and sharing the joy and the struggles. Beauty rewards me by giving me a ritual that calms and watching you brings back that peaceful feeling…except for today. 😊The waterworks were triggered when you mentioned you would go back and reread followers’ comments to lift your spirits. Sending lots of love and positive energy, Marsha🌸🐝

Hi Marsha! Your comments always hit me right in the heart, in the best possible way!! My tears were happy tears bc the kindness that you and others have shown have truly has meant the world and then some, especially the last year. I love learning your story and I think you are right that this decade (so far) for me has been a self defining one and has been fruitful and I’m very thankful for it and it reinforces the joy I have hearing your journey was similar! Thank you for being a pillar of support through this KZbin journey I’ve been on, I always look forward to your comments ♥️♥️♥️

Im undiagnosed but I know I’m autistic too. All my adult sons have been diagnosed on the spectrum as well. No one is normal and I love it. 🥰

My ears perked up when you mentioned possibly canceling Prime. That would really help me curb my impulse Amazon buys! My mental health has been rocky since I moved. Chicago is very expensive and the loneliness has been a huge struggle. I’m still figuring out my budget, trying to find a hair salon, and get my medical providers figured out. I’ve found a nail salon (pedicures only, I’ll take a break in the winter), I’m dyeing my hair at home, and I don’t have space to buy anything, so I got really excited when you announced your year long no-buy. I’ll be a No-Buy Buddy with you! 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

Thank you for sharing your take on underconsumption as a media trend!!! I love that people are thinking about their consumption habits but I really dislike the moral undertones. It’s not something we can measure objectively like one person is better or worse than another based on how many lipsticks they own, for instance. Like you so eloquently said, it’s really about examining and changing your individual buying habits.

Very inspiring video! I’ve never done a no buy, but have been debating embarking on one after my birthday next week. Maybe this is a sign.

Awe thank you! Was a little nervous to press go on this one 🫣😂 let’s do it together because I have a feeling I’ll need reminding on several occasions that I don’t *need* the thing in question lol (but hard agree on the after your birthday thing)🎂🎉🥳

Have you considered micro blading you brows? It’s a huge timesaver and I save money in the long run
@RachelEllenRose4 ай бұрын
I have! I’m a little scared bc my skin is so sensitive 🫣 although I know I’d love it and it could probably help me fake a little more fullness. Do you have it? What was the healing experience like?

@@RachelEllenRose Recovery wasn’t bad. My artist provided information and skincare for afterwards and price included a 6 week touch up. I’m going on 2 years and since my last touch up and I’m still happy with my brows sans makeup.
