American weddings are more laid back and donโt take up the entire day. My sister-in-law had her wedding at a farmhouse in Boston. It was beautiful and a lot of fun.

@@shalbec3232 At least not for me as guest. When I go to asian weddings, the ceremony starts around 9-10am at home for minimum 2 hours, then off to church or temple for another 2-2.5 hours. The reception starts around 7pm-11pm. That's 8 hours. My sister in law's wedding was from 5pm to 11pm. 30-40 mins ceremony, cocktail 1.5 hours, then the reception.
