Love the zw routine although I would like to say that coffee scrubs can be quite abrasive as coffee shards don’t break down in water or oil, this means their unpredictable and have risks of damaging your skin. Sugar scrubs can break down with water and are formed by crystallization instead of beating ground up. This is purely just in good faith, do what is best for YOUR skin and have a lovely day.

I was thinking this too. Using any physical exfoliant on your face is likely to create microscopic tears to your skin that can lead to acne and damage your skin barrier if done frequently. It is especially not recommend for dry or sensitive skin.

Coffee grounds are horrible for your skin also the coffee market is horrible for the ecosystem and is rife w not only unsustainable growing methods that require constant deforestation but also abusive labor practices. Going zero waste is a valiant effort, but please do your research if you're going to claim to be an advocate for zero waste. I do not claim to be an advocate for zero waste bc i dont think it is possible in the long run, nor do i believe it is necessary for us poor folk to try and limit our waste and save up to try and save the planet the best we can meanwhile the Kardashians are taking 3 minute flights and leaving carbon footprints larger in 3 minutes than i will emit in 3 years.

Charcoal toothpaste is super abrasive and shouldn't be used on a regular basis if at all because it will scrub off your enamel. Coffee is also super abrasive and will damage you skin too. Instead of a coffee scrub you can use a coffee infused scrub so you don't cause lasting damage.

Coffee grounds aren’t good for the facial skin. Don’t use salt or sugar either. They have a crystalline structure that created micro tears in your facial skin. ground nuts and coffee have very sharp edges as well. Use a ground rice exfoliant like dermalogica’s microfoliant or the good molecules one. They also have enzymes like papain and bromelian in them to eat off the dead skin. They stay good for a long time since the enzymes only activate when wet and for 5 minutes.
