It's free to stay too.😁 It's for people that like to camp🏕 You take your mess home and clean up. First come stays. Through the week It's empty. I went to one called Nant Syddion. That has a big story to it. Beautiful old house but a tragedy. Thank you very much for having a look.

You had plenty of gear for your night out! The Bothy was in a really stunning location. That was really thoughtful to bring the notebook with you. I enjoy reading peoples comments left in these, although it is a long time since I slept in any wild spot like this. I have just had a moment thinking of those times sometimes just in the open in an orange "bivvy bag". Woke up once covered in pretty deep snow, still strangely warm! In those days it was rare that I would carry much cooking equipment instead lazily making do with cold meals. The Bothy looked so cute from over the stream. I could see myself looking out over the lake with a book but not getting into the water. As I said before getting soft in my old age. Shame you had to share your night out but the boys looked to be enjoying their adventure. Nice warm looking place with that fire. Nice little adventure Jamie.

​@SamWalksALot I know it's a bit of a drive for you, very near Elan Valley dams you have a bothy called Nant Syddion. The Hughes family of 8. First family in Wales to have quadruplets. Sadly 7 died in less than a month, just Margaret left the mother. You can walk around the house cook on the fire. They are buried near the house. I covered it in my vid. The mother isn't buried with the family. Very near to that you have Devil's Bridge Aberystwyth. Aberystwyth University King Charles and William went and the oldest tram goes up the mountain. You could make 4-5 Really good vids. You would pick up many subs from Wales. You would be great telling the Nant Syddion story.👍 Like to see you there one day. Have a look one day. 😉 Lots have watched my vid, many more would watch yours.👋 I know you have a long list already, just an idea. Keep making your interesting vids.😉

Hello Ivor. Thanks mate really appreciate it. I've been to 3 bothies now. Only stayed the night at this one. It a beautiful area. I used to hate camping 😂 because I could never fall asleep. I just stay up now and have a few beers until tired, now I love it😁 That's cool you have good memories or camping and exploring. I watched 2 brothers taking their dad to bothy, he turned 80, they asked dad where do you want to go for your birthday, hotels etc, he said a bothy. They went and had a fire talked laughed no technology just time. My father hates camping and things like that. I shared that story with him he said nope😂 I'm not going. A month or 2 later I asked him again, mentioned to my died, mam died 53 life can change quickly, asked him again, this time he said yes. I'm happy with that. Today I've farting about putting together my walk from last week The Malvern Hills. The short has good, I do okay on shorts. Had a few problems with putting this one together today, run out of time. I'll put it up in morning now. Welsh 3 peaks for me Fri, Pen y Fan 4am, Drive on 2 hours Cadair Idris do that, then drive to Snowdon do that. I feel pretty at moment for 45 so want to do when I feel good. I should be done by 8pm. I'll stay there for 2 nights and explore a bit there. I'm looking forward to catching up with your new video. I'm behind on a few at the moment. Keep sharing them. They are really good. Good quality. I seen you’ve been to Germany a few times. I went twice on school trips. Bonn and Boppard I think. I loved it there. I remember cuckoo clocks and turkish people everywhere there. I liked it there. Hope you are well mate. Thanks for taking the time. Me too. If you get chance have a look at the Nant Syddion Bothy video I did. Big sad story. In Wales we have quite a few crash sites too from 1940s and 50s. Most of the crashes are sadly Canadian pilots. A photo was found in 2005 and put up online, asking does anyone know who this picture is? A woman from Canada in her 80s said it was her brother. She flew over and they got her up in the mountain in a big jeep.

Hello Izzy. It's a great little place. There two I know of in Snowdonia. Four in mid Wales and this one. It's a cool little one. People carry a tent just in case someone is in the bothy. Very flat by the river. It's a cool little place. Lots of wild ponies. I love it there, really beautiful place. The other side is a mountain called Waun Fach, The Dragon's Back. It's the highest after Pen y Fan and Corn Du. I think it's better also, less busy too.👍👋

Thanks Phil. Had great time. The water was much colder than the waterfall, don't know It's because it really deep. I let off a girly scream 😂 then it was ok. Get your drone up there.😁 It's a cracking walk, on alltrails it carries on, stop at the bothy both times, I won't do another vid there now. Like to see someone putting drone shots up though. The family in there with me were so nice, kids very well behaved. Hike for me next time. Want to be on a mountain a few times now. The weather keeps stopping it happening. Thanks butty.😉👍

Me too. The ponies, water and lake there is beautiful. Waun Fach (The Dragons Back) is the other side. Much better than Pen y Fan and Corn Du. Next highest mountain too. You probably know all this already. It's great outdoors. Just about to leave for Blaen y Glyn Waterfalls now.👋

Hello pal.😁 A tent on the other side offers amazing views above the water. It was pretty cool crashing in the bothy though. The family that came after me were great. It was a good experience for me. I've got a few bothy stays for later in year. I'll carry a tent too. My tent at moment is rubbish. The water was very cold but felt ok, hardest thing is just getting in. Felt awesome after. @mimihome8365 Thank you so much🥲 I camped Thursday on the mountains had to leave 7am because of the rain. I go back tomorrow and walk many miles 2 lakes far apart and swim. I'll be there about 5.30am. It's about 5-6 hours walk. I have the tent cooking part done, the weather beat me. Tomorrow the ☀️ is back. I will have fun there. I can't remember if I mentioned there's a crashed plane up there from 1940 or 50s I can't remember. I'll go over there tomorrow too. A family member is coming over from Canada in September and I'm walk her to the plane. I hope to get a lot done there tomorrow. Thank you my friend. Good video, for the reasons you mentioned I always stay in my tent, cosy looking bothy, bet it got warm in there. It must have been a struggle with all them bags, I pack everything into my 65 litre. all the best .

Hi 😁👍 It nearly killed me. Heavy wood, charcoal, beers,wine and loads of food. I looked like a right plonker walking.😂 2 bags on my back one on my front, one in hand. It was a long hours walk. I'm pretty fit but found it tough. I should have sang on the vid.😉😁 The dad and his 2 lads that turned up were great people. Tim the dad's been hiking and camping for years. They were great. This mini bothy seems to be a popular one to stay at 😊 looks a good stay still, bet it was a cold wild swim. I remember being quite nervous about my first bothy stay, I had my tent with me too as a back up. It was a much bigger bothy and I think there were maybe 7 of us who stayed there in the end. But it was all good 😊 nice meeting others and chatting about everyone’s different adventures.

Hiya butty. I loved it, had walk around more and explored a bit. Loads of ponies near me this time. The dad and his two boys were so nice, both young lads very well behaved. Next time I go I won't film I'll just really chill. Yes the bags nearly killed me.🤦🏻😁 One was full just with wood and charcoal. One food water and beers. I couldn't carrying my roll out bed so I left it in the car. The water was very cold, hardest thing for me is just getting in. When I'm in I'm ok, didn’t even use a towel when I got out. Walked back in my ugly shorts and warmed up in bothy. Felt good after, I was sweating with the heavy gear, nice and fresh after. I learnt my lesson. I nearly died😂 Never again. It was one night🤦🏻 Loads of ponies walking up by me, normally I would have loved it filmed it. I was just thinking please move. Lesson learnt. 😁 One big full bag was just logs and charcoal. Lit the fire quite early for cooking and it lasted all night. Thanks for watching. 😉👍

Cracking stuff, mate! It looks like you had a good night. That's the only thing about staying at a bothy, you always feel like you're looking over your shoulder wondering if anyone is going to turn up. Luckily you had tidy visitors staying the night, nice to see. I watched one video, where a guy completed a long hike to stay at Lluest Cwmbach bothy, and when he got there, the Mountain Bothy Association was staying there the night having a meeting...cracked me up, ha ha!

The dad Tim I think was 38 and boys 11+12. I'm 45 this month and it was my first solo over night bothy. I need to buy a tent soon. Just something basic. Planning on having a camp every 6-8 weeks. Hiya pal. I was so happy when I arrived that nobody was there, it's an hours walk and I so much gear. Heavy stuff too. Got rid of loads there so it was easy in the morning. We squeezed in pretty good. I slept on the floor downstairs by the fire, the 3 had upstairs. They were great. Yes my pool was wonderful. I come out from under the water amd screamed a bit. The camera was really far away, it travelled well because the acoustics on the water. I sounded like a Bee Gee in the water.😂 Good memories though. Thanks for watching.
