Good editing and good photography Pine. A nice immersive feeling in your videos complimented by good commentary. Trust me, your videos will inspire others to enter this event. The 800 (bigger front wheel) is tricky on tight turns. I entered a skills challenge at a BMW Festival before (as event medic) on a GS800 and know the 'latte' seem to encroach on your efforts. I have a 990 Adv S which is even harder in tight turns. Both bikes have a high COG. Anyway, at least you were there. The only people who don't make any mistakes are those who try nothing. You can only get better so keep it up. Remember what Sir Edmund Hillary said with a clenched fist when passing a photo of Everest after his first failed attempt - "You Mount Everest will remain as big as you are, but I am still growing."

Thanks a lot for your inspiring words Mister Sean! Very true. I did learn a lot at nationals and wish to learn more on my travels. I feel like I also need to train more on the mental side. Thus why I like the racing part. When we're go fast there's no time to over think things. But when it's these slow and steady turns my mind bombards me with information! Haha. The 800 has nice advantages like performing better in sand, rocks and mud. But sadly turning isn't one of them! xD Even while going fast due to the heavy weight from the petrol tank in the bag the front feels loose. Other than that thanks a lot for your awesome comment! I get angry when my microphone is acting up and when my computer is slow or rendering takes a full day and uploading another 3. But comments like yours make it worth it! Have a good one!

@@pinesadventures the urge to lose composure after fumbling a skill is compelling as the physical exertion of some of the skills significantly increases the degree of difficulty and mental recovery, especially with a sudden-death event. The event marshals know that. The trick is not to blow the whole event because of one fumble. How you respond the last time you lost will determine how soon you'll win again. Goalkeepers concede goals; fullbacks drop mark catches etc. The must just shake it off and move on to go ahead and win the game. I was at Amrsfrt CT a few weeks ago where we started the Jozi2Kozi 3 day bike event. Unlike your lovely sunny event there before us, it was a mud bath with all the rain and storms. I'm also battling with slow laptop and rendering delays that interrupt creative editing juices flowing to make my memento videos from the J2K event.

@@seanfrench1029 I'll quickly watch your Jozi2Kozi video! Wish I'd known about the trip! Will you be at the CT Birthday Celebration?
@seanfrench10293 жыл бұрын
@@pinesadventures unfortunately not. I'm overseas for work till later in Nov. My only YT video of the Jozi2Kozi is a short GoPro Quik edit of the Mkhuze River ride. I was route medic for the Adventure & Rally categories. Gradually started more detailed editing of all my footage on laptop with better software. Will upload later.

Excellent stuff . Here in India we are about to be begin the qualifying. Did the 1250 guys were on enduro mode, did they off the traction ? Any idea on that.. Lots to learn here !! Cheers
