To clear up the cherry mx switch confusion: green - heavy press, tactile, clicky clear - heavy press, tactile, not clicky blue - middle press, tactile, clicky brown - middle press, tactile, not clicky black - middle press, not tactile, not clicky red - light press, not tactile, not clicky

I have been using the keyboard with red switches and it has been fantastic. Everything you want in a keyboard. I really wanted the k70 but no macro keys on a gaming keyboard....comeon corsair. I'll be picking up the mouse soon as well to finish the set.

Excellent, a decent alternative to the left-handed Deathadder. How comfortable is it though? Had an Ouroboros but got rid of it as it was the most bastard awkward thing to use...

I'm left handed and I just made the switch to right handed mousing when I was really little. I remember growing up playing WoW left handed but at school all of our mice were on the right. Besides myself I've never met someone who used a lefty mouse. Can't blame companies for not making them

They should have included transparent keycaps as extras instead of red. Transparent keys looks fantastic on backlit keyboards, especially so on ones with the transparent housings of Cherry's RGB switches.

I have a non-space saving Model M from 1984, but I decommissioned it for a Ducky Shine 4 69. Edit - Cherry MX Green switches are the closest to buckling spring based on my Ducky.

The problem with mouse and keyboard software's is usually Windows Defender or any other antivirus. Putting them on exception list or disable them fixes the problem.

about 5 years ago I bought a unicomp customizer raven black USB, after having several model Ms break on me (always the butterfly plastic pieces that hold the buckling spring usually on the spacebar breaking in half) and eventually the same thing happened to the unicomp.... so I bought a monoprice cherry mx blue keyboard, and it has been stellar ever since. I have no idea why the winglet pieces break on me, but it seems a common failure with how I use keyboards. I totally love both, but I just don't want to deal with what I consider a premium keyboard breaking every year or so. I just wish this monoprice cherry mx was ps2 native instead of usb. ugh.

Those are the good Japanese omron switches. The ones that logitech uses are the cheaper Chinese made omron switches, they only last me a few months...

Cherry MX Brown quiet? I guess, compared to a model M.. but they are NOT quiet lol especially if you're typing fast. I like the browns very much but i put a load of orings on my tk stealth (brown) to dampen it and it's still audible on mic. Even sat on a mouse pad. Just one of the things mechanical keyboards are in my experience. I like the noise though it's reassuring.

So from what I am seeing is that GSkill is ripping off Corsair directly in terms of keyboards. Those keycaps are the same ones found on any K65, K70, or K95. The layout is pretty much the same for the media keys and volume control, brushed black aluminum, it achieves N-key rollover the exact same way by simulating numerous keyboards, and the warranty is the same.
