epic moment in sc2 history, nestea setting the norms... people never apreciate how extraordinary is to be the first to realize simple things like this spine rush... i can picture cavemen saying the same for the first wheel inventor, i mean wheels are just obvious right you dont need to be a genius to make one...

don't get me wrong. the spine rush was unexpected and was good. and i was a nestea fan (WoL times) but the comments were exaggerated. lol. i mean everyone can do that. even bronze players can think of that. the difference with nestea is that his timing was perfect, and it's because of his game sense and experience.

***** at the time it was pretty unheard of to do in a pro tourney. and the confidence with his timing to do something like that was pretty amazing too, they were just being funny casters with "his IQ is a trillion" and i mean exaggeration is whats expected of casters in order to make the game interesting

yeah. nestea was a great gamer, i was a nestea fan in WoL. i was talking about the exaggerated things. I mean, I have watched a lot of NesTea games before and everyone seem to be too biased to NesTea. I mean we have seen jaedong do a hidden Spire (in WoL) using generate creep but no one cared, yet NesTea did proxy spines and everyone says he's a genius with trillion IQ? Also I have watched Nestea use an entire battalion of banelings (about 90-120 supply or something) to kill Thors. The casters are being crazy saying "NesTea!! You're a psychopath!! He's a total genius.. Using banelings to kill thors?? NO ONE WOULD DO THAT!" but if other zergs do the same thing they would say "why did he do that? That's very inefficient and I think [progamer name here] is behind at this point of the game".

no what sets this apart is not that any bronze can do it....he did it in the quarterfinals! vs a race that at the time zergs struggled to kill due to ffe safety.

***** At the time it was somewhat of a new(very rare) build. Idra popularized this build before but with a different build order. It was always considered too risky in general. At this time in the tournament he was trying to stop anypro to be too much greedy because he was always going nexus with not much investement in defence. The greedy build of anypro awarded him many previous victory. Nestea used the right build to stop him to do that which he never did again in the rest of the match up. It's that kind of things he was able to came up with that no one else figured out that made him one of the greatest zerg players of all time. He did that kind of things many other times: surprising build that ended up been the right one for the situation. That's why the commentator are so much crazy about him at that times, they were big fans of him.
