You get a redmi note plus pro for around 300 usd, and then you compare it to this, which isn't THAT much more expensive..... The "pro" rag doesn't mean that you'll get any good camera, not even that you necessarily get a good phone.... This may be the ideal phone for anyone who doesn't need good cameras. I'd rather get a snepdragon gen2 or gen3 with a great camera, because to be, the camera is more important than any gaming performance (I only play puzzle games). Everyone got his preference and get this.... The cameras are the most difficult part on a phone, you need to have great people to develop a great camera system. Not even the very best chips,... Look at the pixel phones, they don't necessarily boast the best processors nor the best camera modules, but they always punch up to the big players.... Because Google has sufficient manpower to do that. Realme crammed a lot of great stuff into this phone. You also get other brands producing amazing phones. But where it usually lacks is in the photo or well.... Latest in the video quality... Because you have to invest much money into this party if the phone.... The rest is slapping in components.... But the camera requires a lot of algorithms and know-how to properly refine the results, especially in difficult light conditions and video. 8MP - it's low resolution By today's standards and I'd also wish manufacturers focus a little more in wide angle photography and video, over telephoto... I don't need 100x zoom.... Give me a really good 20-30x zoom, but a great wurde angle photo and video.... And that is still an issue on most phones nowadays, for whatever reason. The main and the telephoto camera have the same sensors with OIS but the wideangle is usually inferior and with EIS, which durante maje much sense... There are many who'd like to watch their videos on a big screen later... So, that's something where phone manufacturers may have a rethink... But everyone vlogs and Blogs für social media. Even KZbin is better in wide angle. And you do not need high resolution super stabilised video for tiktok, Instagram and Facebook, where must people consume the content in average quality phone panels anyway.... Well, a pity LG and HTC are not high up in the game anymore.... They truly did swim against the current many times and did things right, especially HTC .... Nokia as well... Maybe we'll get some higher end phone again from Nokia some day, even they regain a bit more market share...

yeah it's back, but manufacturer should also release smartphones model with flagship specs that has less battery amount and smaller screen or compact design because huge battery amount tends to make the phones heavier (more than 220gram). There are users that prefer compact and light phones that weight less than less than 190 gram.

What disappointed me is that the realme GT 7 Pro still uses the same mediocre 8MP ultrawide cam(decent results during board daylight but underwhelming in low light). It should be atleast 12MP.

I have seen even 12MP look bad in my brother's iphone 15, it looks so bad (even in 0.9x). I think 32mp is minimum ultra wide camera resolution needed. 32+32+32 main, uw and telephoto lens sounds like dream choice

for "compact" midrangers the pixel 8a comes to mind. people buying cheap phones usually don't care for things like size, build material or software support. just the way it is right now, though we're seeing a slight push for smaller phones at the base flagship level (S24, X200 Pro Mini) so that might trickle down soon

Who buy realme when their software support is only 3 years when compitition is giving support of 5 to 7 years of major OS update, and realme UI is one of the worst if not worst UI in android world with laggy day to day performance with sub below average thermal management with garbage customer support

3 years is not great admittedly but to be fair who keeps a phone longer than 3 -4 years if their being honest. Realme and similar companies achieve this price point because of a few cuts. But what you get for your money is a fantastic product full stop. The software is from the same company as Oppo and Oneplus so it's a good Skin. Only because of companies like these do we get technologies that would cost into the 1000s if it was left to companies like Samsung and Apple reduced in price. We can now get a phone with an Antutu score 1.5k for just over £300 thanks to these companies like Realme competing.
