if you have no problems with the phone itself updating it is useless, the chance of making it worse after the update is pretty high :-P I still have my Poco F2 Pro on an old version and it has 0 issues :)) updates are not what many people believe they are. . .

The one Poco that has massive problems is the M3. I can't confirm if all have the problem or only a batch of them but people are saying "deadboot" problem without knowing what is causing it. Well to my reasearch of the problem I tear an M3 with "deadboot" problem apart and it's not the software that many think is causing the problem nor is the metal shield over a capacitor the problem but it's a poor manufacturing process problem. The bga of the specific chips is bad, the solder is poor quality and over time the chip looses connection to the board. Reballing solves the problem but the main problem is it should not exist in the first place. From what I see other Poco models don't have similar problems so at least they are a good purchase :-) I myself have a daily Poco F2 Pro and I won't replace it for at least another couple of years. I'm thinking to buy another used one just to use it at work cuzz they are getting cheap AF in my country and it has a solid SoC + battery life. . .

Well I had bought Poco x3 Pro which was one of the best smartphone for gaming in budget at that time and it was popular too but after half a year people began to complain about dead motherboard caused by both software and hardware, mainly by faulty Pmic. As I concluded the reason are the poor design, lack of quality control as well as in some cases planned obsolesences in their lower series (C,M,X ). So I high recommended you to buy The F SERIES which is the poco's flagship offering. I am planning to buy Poco's F series as I am unsure if mine Poco x3 Pro has faulty Pmic 😂 I hope not.

m5s main camera has better video performance than redmi note 11, also theres option for 6gb ram model, m5s only have 4gb ram model, the cpu performance aren't that different on performing daily task..same with the battery, both has similar efficiency

Man, I'm so disappointed with this generation. If it isn't the scalping, it's the technology staying stagnant. Snapdragon 845 and 855 should be *Mid-Range* standard today. Recent chips are strong but so inefficient in power they still lose to snap 865/870. You're still paying 400$ to get the same level of performance and *power efficiency,* so essentially nothing changed in the last 2-3 years.

@@faranbutt180 Dont get scammed by that excuse. 1. Chips like 888 and 8 gen 1 are a lot more powerful than the previous gen. It's the power efficiency that nobody cares about that actually matters. So it will output twice the performance but will immediately slow down and lose to 865/870 in the long run. That's not stagnation in performance. You will get your power for a little while. That's a *shift* in priorities and degradation in *sustained* performance. Everyone only cares about power, so companies happily obliged. 2.ARM and Samsung ( as chip manufacturers ) prioritized power over efficiency in the chips that messes the current generation. 3. Its not because of shortages and economic crisis that companies can: a.) sell more phones and in even more variety of cpus models. b.) make more powerful cpus c.) chips becoming smaller and cheaper to make d.) take advantage of the pandemic to raise prices 4. Pls dont buy their product out of pity. Worse of all based on misinformation.

Wait, m4 released ? 🥲 I'm not liking where Xiaomi is headed, the main reason why they started making phones in the first place was to make devices with their custom tuned miui software and to showcase that Android phones could have good software support like iphones. But these days they are not able to keep up with the number of devices being released and update situation is worse. Their developers don't know how many devices exists and have stopped responding to feedbacks.

Yes to video oversharpening at resolutions lower than hd when watching video. At hd or above there's no sharpening. It has DC dimming, it's the only oled phone I've ever used that doesn't give me a headache. I like it

I'm typing this comment on the Poco X3 NFC and my wife's phone of over a year is the Redmi Note 10s (an exact replica of the Poco M5s). Having used both phones extensively over the years, here's my quick review: The Redmi Note 10s (Poco M5s) has lot smoother UI and better colours due to it's OLED. The processor too actually performs excellently well in it's day to day use, though I've not subjected it to any form of heavy gaming, and the battery? My God! It lasts forever on full charge, mind you, Its mobile hotspot is on for like half of the day and it lasts longer than my Poco most times. Maybe it's the 120Hz refresh rate on the Poco X3 and it's HDR10 support. Don't get me wrong, both batteries are great but the Redmi (Poco M5s) comes out on top. Camera wise, they are both similar in a way, but I think the X3 trumps it with having better details and good dynamic range. Also, the chipset on the X3 gives it an edge of the M5s. Loudspeakers are better on the X3 also. I hope this has answered some of your questions.
