Wonderful performance. I've played this piece many times (I am an amateur pianist) and can tell you that the second movement challenge is the adrenaline rush. It is so exciting that you have to be very careful not to let your emotions turn it into a train wreck. The whole work is a towering masterpiece, of course. What a privilege to play it and to hear it performed this well.

Genauso empfinde ich das auch. Bin auch Amateurspieler und habe den Brahms wegen des 2. Satzes für ein Workshop ausgesucht. aber ich habe auch einige Klaviertrios sehr genossen.

it's Allegro non Troppo....so why does everybody play like they suffer from terminal arthritis?....same with the A major, bad traditions seep in.
