Hey JP! Thank you for the kind words on our guitars! Loving the video and all the videos you put out. All our guitars are made with the same dedication and passion you are showing in your videos, which is something we hope to continue doing for a long time. Love, The Hozen Team

I bought my first Ho Zen guitar back in 2019. I still have it, and cherish it. I was introduced to him by my friend, Jonathan Koh. I will definitely be purchasing more instruments from him in the future. Awesome guitars. 🐰🎸🎶✌️

Recently picked up a black label Hozen Multiscale Baritone. Pretty amazing instrument. Ive gone back and retracked a bunch of songs with it for an upcoming album. Adirondack Spruce top and Koa back and sides.

I'm taking your advise and having a K & K Mini put into my Simon & Patrick Showcase Rosewood Concert Hall guitar. (made in 🇨🇦 ...division of Godin) It's an awesome guitar!

I must admit that I was in shock when you told that you had never heard of Somogyi. The man is a legend. Michael Watts had a nice talk with him on his channel. Anyways, this is a fun and great video.

Had to of them. Would never stay in tune. One I gave away the other hangs for decoration.

very nice---thanks jp. that is a beautiful instrument. by the way, i have a yamaha (fsx5) and alvarez yairi dym60hd because of your advice. they are great. especially the dym60hd---and at that price---is just plain fabulous. (i installed a k and k pure mini with volume control in the dym60hd...plugged into a sound system it becomes a steinway or bosendorfer).

I have been watching your channel the last few months...and trying to catch up on all your content...it's very cool! I'm a big fan of Yamaha guitars, and many others! Currently have 8 guitars, one for each day and two on Sundays!

Two Yamahas, two Taylors, two Bedells, a Simon & Patrick, and an Antonio Hermosa classical with a slightly narrower neck than the normal 2" typical of classical guitars.

Sweeeeeeet guitar, how does this guitar differ from a Bouchet? Which one is more sensitive and which one has more overtones and harmonic content? Is one easier to play? Thanks

I have a couple Maestro guitars from Hozen and the build and response, sound and playability are far superior to what anyone in Asia is doing. Bravo…the new Hozen signature guitars are spectacular.

JP, thanks to you and Brickhouse Guitars, I was made aware of Hozen about a year ago. This truly is a fabulous instrument. But my ONLY gripe about Hozen's acoustic guitars........and I know this is silly nit picking, is those ugly square clear pick guards he uses. Why not cut those to flow with the shape of the top? Just because they are clear doesn't mean they are "invisible". They really show up. If I bought one of these, that clear pick guard would be removed immediately & replaced with one that is cut to flow with the shape of the top. Still an amazing instrument though, for sure!!!

Jp question you've played some of the best guitars ever made from cheap to expensive is this guitar really worth that kind of money you know cause you play em.I play a Taylor and I ask myself every time I play it or a martin I really can't justify the money they want for em when I can get a epi for half the money that plays and sounds just as good imo.

Lovely tone built great but i dont think a cutaway like that would be any good without an amplified mike to perform with its for playing at home

I will tell you something that you won't believe, but it's absolutely true. Back in January of 1993 I was moving to the SF Bay Area. I had a near brand new Martin D-35. I wanted to have the action lowered. Ervin was recommended to me so I entrusted him to return the guitar spotless as I HATE scratches on a new guitar unlike so many people I get that. I got the guitar back and it had the pins severely lowered, the back and sides were horribly scratched and it disturbed me greatly. Worst yet the sound was altered in a negative manner. So while you may revere this guy I have to say all I have is bad memories to work on regarding him. I'm now a Yamaha fan as they came essentially perfect. Sorry but Somodgyi name has very negative connotations in my life.

Holey Moley! I just can't believe how good that guitar sounds. I have watched most of JP's guitar reviews and was going to pass on this one because I didn't think anything could beat ones he has already reviewed. I was playing a game of solitaire as I was passively listening. All of a sudden, it hit me and I had to stop playing and listen. For the tone I prefer, this is the best guitar I have ever heard.
