The video going into the forest looking for Adirondack spruce was amazing. First Maple now Mahogany. I'm still amazed with Maple, now this. I take my hat off once again. I can only assume that you bend, put it into a mold and then into an oxygen purged oven for the time/temp profile? I tempered glass "to shape" and tempered low emmissivity glass and I'd love to see this process. Amazing.

Does torrifying the sides make it more susceptible to cracks in the future? I know the torrificaiton process dries out the wood so it is less prone to cracking but like Guillame said it’s like bending glass and I wonder how it will stand the test of time

Good question. I left several questions when they reviewed the torrified maple. Also how does one repair the back and sides if it experiences and accidental impact?
