That's an amazing effort on that doggie. They are one of the hardest fish to land when hooked. Great job!

Yes Adam did a great job. Hooked so many big ones on the ultra light jigs. Ignored the bigger jigs on heavier gear!

Funny how that works hey! I remember one time on a charter with some clients we marked a lot of doggies on a pinnacle but were unable to hook up to them (through mechanical up-and-down jigging motion) until one of the clients got a bite when he was fast winding his jig back up to the boat. That day we caught a couple of doggies but only when we retrieved the jigs constantly at a very high pace, they can be very fussy fish!

Thanks Stumpa glad you enjoyed it, I like Feb, March. This trip was mid Feb. Ask for strong tides, GFA have some great spots with monster fish.

Stu Walker Fishing Adventures thanks a lot for this tipp with the strong tides... the last 2 trips i guess we had bad tides... not many fish and just small ones under 30kg... the first trip we had over 15 with 40+ and my pb with 55kg... we went with mike and the other 2 trips with bishu from sportsfishinhintheandamans... great guy too

Gorohu Ganiga depends on the size of reel and the thickness of your line. For reference the 18000 size holds 400m of PE6.
