Please do an in depth video of the setup (what they use for barriers, carpet, jumps) how many people it takes to setup and breakdown these pop up tracks! Show the world how much effort these people are putting in to make racing possible.

The clips of you driving (assuming it was you) make you look like you kinda know what you’re doing 😜 Enjoying the racing videos. I’d love to watch a full race or 2, you should throw 1 in now and again, or start a second channel purely just to watch the racing, I know i’d sit and watch them 😃 Well done fellas, keep up the great work, going from strength to strength 💪
@PopalongRC Жыл бұрын
We will try and incorporate them into videos. It is a bit hit and miss with whether they get watched and also if you are out on your own in no man’s land and not in a close race it is not the best viewing …

@@PopalongRC yeah, I get it, it’s the same with myself.. maybe it’s just me, I love watching the racing, but it’s hard to keep folk watching if the content is not fast paced. I’ll look forward to when you do upload one 😃

I just bought a CRC CK25 for gt12. It's all new to me and it's frustrating as all get out. I have so much more fun with my Tamiya Euro truck but most of the guys at my local track scoff at them. Whatever you do, just have fun with it. Cheers Carl!

I would have liked to see the changes highlighted on the GT12, but I think Id be one of very few that likes seeing minor tweaks and what was involved. Id be in for more GT12 or Tamiya M chassis content.

Hi Thanks for this video i am completely new to RC and just discovered im about 20 minutes from Wycombe RC, Track. i was looking at Newbury but they don't run allot of classes and i like the look of the battcave cars, i do like the look of the Xray series they run but for now im wondering to start on a different class.

When I packed up racing about 5-6 years ago due to me having terminal cancer I was running a Schumacher gt12 car don’t get me wrong when it was good it was awesome very quick with 13.5t motor 1s but I was always fiddling with it checking for chassis tweak and that everything was ok changing ride height as my tyres worn down & tbh it was a pain in the arse , I am going to make a comeback in the next few weeks I am buying a Tamiya m-07 concept car , esc £28 motor £10 servo £60 wheels & tyres £28 a set that will last all year on one set and hardly any messing about with it as it runs on rubber tyres so I can’t see why people prefer spending shed loads of money when you can race this class on a shoestring and this is the most excited I’ve been about doing something since I was diagnosed

Being new to all this and just starting with rc banger racing I’d be interested in the journey of the GT12 to see how you progress and get ideas for me as I go down the rabbit hole of other classes. Certainly would be relatable to me and others maybe.

GT12 or LMP cars are like the F1 of RC racing, super fussy on setup and you have to constantly keep then in that setup window. Checking tyre sizes, ride heights, axle heights, tweak after every run. But when they are in the operating zone of setup boy are they fast!

Running more than one car in a race day is brutal... I should know as I run three cars and usually feel like I've had a stroke at the end of the day... I think I will pull it back this season, getting a bit up there in age.

I think with the GT12 you need a bigger fan at the back, give it more ommph 🤣 It’s good to see the brushed Tamiya being super competitive so more of that and your GT12 journey as that could be useful for others 👍

A quick question this may sound dumb but for the lofe of me I cant get power to my SR215 reciever with the THW 1060 esc that cane with my TT02. Its bound and works on my nitro though on my Tamiya its just flashes red even after setung the end point. I run the rugged dx5 but its my first electric with this radio.
@PopalongRC Жыл бұрын
Have you tried re binding it
@kanenstuff Жыл бұрын
@PopalongRC yes I bound it with my nitro buggy set the throttle trim to zero. It says but the esc plug into the throttle but I get no power even if I put it in the power slot I still have no power. Then if I put it back in my nitro buggy all is sweet I'm new to electric cars but it makes no sense its ment to be rtr?
@kanenstuff Жыл бұрын
@PopalongRC the reciver just has no power what ever I try looked at videos there not much out there. I have made many rc drones for racing so a esc is nothing new but I'm missing something or it's DOA.
@heady2008 Жыл бұрын
@@kanenstuff I'll start by assuming that you have plugged the ESC's lead in correctly which is normally negative/black on the outside/right hand pins. The ESC lead to the RX should output around 5 volts from it's internal BEC. If you have a multimeter then test this by connecting to the red and black contacts.
@kanenstuff Жыл бұрын
@heady2008 OK thanks I will check this but for sure the reciever works I have been doing nitro for decades an never had a issue getting power to a reciever. Since I started watching your videos and Tamiya cars here are so cheap thought I would give it a go. But when I follow the instructions I just don't get power it makes no sense atm. It has some nice hop ups hope it doesn't end a up being my first shelf queen 😂

You need to change your shock oils before every event with the atom. Infact need to rebuild it before every event is what im discovering. They get tweaked very easily and once its tweaked your losing a lot of laps.
