Awesome video man! Probably the best “vlog” style you’ve done in a very long time. Glad you had a great time. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing this gore!! Best video I've seen so far showcasing this event. My track attack event was scheduled a few weeks after yours and got cancelled due to covid. I was pretty bummed but Jill and gang are awesome and went to work adding events to get people rescheduled. I am now set for late Aug! Can't wait. Oh and really loved the travel arrangements ;)) and footage. That topped it off. I've done a lot of flying in similar aircraft. My best friend from college was a commercial airline Capt. Started as a private aircraft pilot in NOLA. Lived with me when he was getting his hours up and he was giving private lessons to people so we used to fly all over together. Great times. Thx again!

I remember my track attack event , was one of the best weekends ive ever had. was first class of the year in 2019. In Utah however, i wonder if this venue is better??! made some friends as well!
@TrackDayVideo4 жыл бұрын
its definatley a better venue and track. Utah is too flat, too dry, no visuals. I know I live there and have done it so many times.

Very cool video, do you mind telling us how much the class was or did you get it buying a new GT350? I love my GT350, wish I can do this event!

Did this track event come with the purchase of your car or did you just buy it separate. I attended something similar but much shorter with Porsche in their Atlanta Track Experience Center. It was fun. They allow you to pick a car and and an instructor drives with you as the passenger where you get feedback. It cost several hundred dollars for about / hours of seat time.

Great video on what to expect. I'll be there in a month. I assume this was all shot on your personal GoPro? What mount did you use in the car? Also, do you think the "Race Keeper" that they do is worth the $179 or just use my GoPro? Thanks!

Hey Gore, did they give you gloves, or just the suit and helmet?

Very nice. Assuming you’re going, you’re gonna love it. I wished I had something like this to watch before I went, which was part of my motivation for making the video. Hopefully you enjoyed it!

I am going this March. I haven't decided if the second day in a GT is worth 2k. Do you think I should do it? Thanks.
@pilotgore4 жыл бұрын
I guess that depends if you plan to track your own car at a local event or not. With track time, insurance, tire and brake wear, I've calculated my total daily expenditure to be $1,000/day. Local events typically include an in-car instructor for free if you want/need one. If you never plan to take your personal car on track, then do the second day in the GT. If you want more track time in a GT350 at half the price of the GT.... I'd skip day 2 and sign up for a local event. Enjoy track attack... You're gonna love it!

@@pilotgore If it were 1k for the second day I definitely would do it. I will have to decide soon. Thanks!

Same thing happened to me on my last lap of the 3rd session with the advancetrac. Literally fixed itself driving back to the building.

I’m pretty sure it’s a plate shift inside the battery which causes low voltage, then electronics start to freak out. Level ground seems to make it better.

That was about an hour of actual driving time at the Porsche driving center track.

Cirrus SR22 I take it? Personal plane or a 'rental'?
@pilotgore4 жыл бұрын
You're correct, it's a SR22, G2, non-turbo, owned by a friend. I'm a full time corporate pilot, but when I need to get around for personal stuff (like track attack during Coronavirus) I have a few friends I can borrow planes from. Do you fly? Any cirrus time?
@matthewpatton53984 жыл бұрын
@@pilotgore > Do you fly? sadly no. I'm an "aspirational" pilot. Been admirnig the Cirrus concept since that first issue in Flying lo, so many years ago. Had a couple check rides in a Tweet (T-37) and loved doing some loops and rolls. Note to self, when flying inverted the correct move is always to pull the stick toward you. :)
