I was there Saturday in my C7 GS (saw you at Subway). Ran intermediate group. Check engine light kept me home Sunday. That’s some crazy stuff. Glad all were okay.

Glad nobody was hurt. This could have been so much worse if it wasn't for the camera cars quick reactions.

Close call for sure, whew. Glad all are ok, well, except the lil GT4, sorry for your misfortune. Good luck, good skills and proper equipment, could have been way worse. Great footage by the way!

Glad to hear everyone is OK. This is exactly why I personally use a beat up C4 modified for track use, I have no fear of destruction or cost. Just go get another one for $1500-3000 and swap the parts. Track debris/liquid can cause a wreck no matter how good of a driver you are, sad to see such a nice car take flight, backwards no less.

How do you like the C4 in terms of its chassis and handling compared to more modern cars? Thought about doing the same thing, the value is hard to ignore.
@kriskat15214 жыл бұрын
@@sonicnofadz I can only speak for myself, it is good enough to make some modern owners annoyed at times. You must start with a Z51 model to get the Dana 44 Rear. It can hold 315s all the way around, it can hold a big sway bar, mine has a C6 brake conversion, it bolts on, no special mods, and the parts are cheap and easy to change. I ditched the 4+3 nightmare of a manual transmission for a TKO600 road course box, 5 speed, no overdrive. You would be surprised how well it brakes and handles. Also weighs 2914lb, with seats, harnesses, gutted interior and roll bars. Like I said, when I roll it, the goal is ton walk away laughing.

Cars that are not track ready, either because of overdue maintenance or manufacturers fault should not be allowed on track. Nürburgring is a great example, a lot of scrapyard escapee bmws race there and its very common to have oil on the track, there are a ton of crashes because of it, youtube is full with them.

What does that statement have to do with this video? Even brand new vehicles, with top notch crews and service, sometimes have failures. When you’re pushing cars to 140+ mph, lap after lap, fittings can fail, seals can break, etc. You have no idea if that coolant spill came from a 200K GT3 or an old beater.
