For sure. Scooting around on big drums in the old streamline Grand Prix cars like in the ToCa Race Driver series

I love this car. It's purely a collectors piece, but I don't mind too much; I've got every car in GT7, so I don't mind having some that don't get that much use. I agree with you completely about cars like the Model T and Patent Motorwagen, I'd have no problem paying 20+ million for them.

Happy new year HSG! Awesome car review to start off 2024! I honestly enjoy cars like this being added and included! It's great for car list variety and also a great lesson and look at our automotive history!

Appreciate this review.. I’ll probly never own this so it’s nice to get a glimpse 😅. Glad there’s ppl out there that can just enjoy a car without worrying too much about how competitive it is

For sure, some of my favourite memories and cars in certain games are just from driving something unique and savouring it. The Y2K turbine superbike in PGR4, B Engineering Edonis in TDU, MG SV-R in Horizon 5 etc

Im a MkII Jag person myself when it comes to classics. Beautiful curves. Big Headlamps. Wheel arches are smooth and curvy. Yeah classic cars are gorgeous machines.

Got that Alfa a couple of days ago, like how it drives, got the s baker tourer ages ago, max tuned and won at Le Mans with it

I absolutely love this car along with the Mercedes S Barker Tourer. Makes me hope for more prewar additions in the future like the 1928 Bugatti Type 37A from the datamined car list and the two other GT Award winning prewar Alfa Romeos. Maybe some returning faces like the ‘37 Auto Union Streamliner or the Ford Model T but feel that’s unlikely. I’ve said in other comments and forums before, the addition of these prewar cars in these games are important on a historical level. It educates younger individuals of the earlier days of motoring and motor sports. Obviously as time passes, the generational gap of these cars and present day increases and these beautiful machines are being more forgotten each passing year. GT being an automotive encyclopedia brings light to these once great machines in digital, immortal glory.

Love these High Roller vids, very informative. I regret not doing more of the money exploits, some of the 20 million cars look amazing. Just a question, how much have you upgraded the one on the vid? The gear changes look way too smooth for a car of its age

I'd love to see a Vintage Car series of races in game that pay relative to what the cars actually cost, as opposed to how long or difficult the race is. Like a series of races with cars from 1949 or earlier only. Yeah? Make it a *little* easier to maybe get these cars once you've done the grinding to get 1 to compete in the race with. Yeah?

I'm down to needing just under 50 cars to complete my collection in game (over half of those being VGTs). I think this will be the first 20 mil I buy, or maybe the Mercedes SL. Will definitely be one of those two.

Oh yes, i had 60 million credits stashed away so i decided to by this alfa, the 300 SL racing car, and the mclaren F1, all 20 mil each, now I'm broke...

There is no way a classic car performs anywhere near as good as a modern car. Tires technology (the old stuff is the equivalent of a wheel barrow's rubber you get at a DIY market these days), shocks (ancient stuff like sliding pillars, or rotary disk shocks), suspension geometry (the first all-around fully independent suspensions didn't arrive until the Lotus Elite, or the Lamborghini 350 GT), brakes, weight distribution, chassis stiffness, etc. Though there always were cars that were, say, 20 years ahead of their time in feel, and in fact still feel "modern" today, every Dacia Sandero is driving rings around them. I doubt that the game has the ability to reflect vehicle dynamics correctly.

Some are definitely better than others, and as you say there are some which were way ahead of their time. My '68 Lincoln for example drives better than a 1990 Rolls which I reviewed way back. This one on the other hand, well I suspect those skinny little Italian rubber circles should be flexing a whole lot more through corners than they do in-game, hah

This car is definitely worth it for owners of the VR2 headset. Like me :-) Based on this video alone, I will grind away and get this thing. Oooh ... I just splurged a cool 20 million on the Ferrari 250 GTO, and it was worth it. A review, perhaps? Any chance of adding a VR2 view of the interiors of some of these old bangers?

Not sure there, have you completed the main cafe menus? If not some tracks or events may still be locked
