GT7 WTC 700 Le Mans 30 mins Gran Tourismo 7 How to Tutorial Grind

This is the full length edit of my attempt at this particular race, wanting to demonstrate that the grind can be fun anhd enjoyable, in not the fastest car out there.
Widdowmaker - Jim is a gamer on his second tour, used to game in the late 90's early 2000, with a group of friends made on line. This channel is about Widdowmakers return to gaming for relaxation, with no stress, We might get competitive..
Its early days so things will evolve, to include and in no particular order:-
ETS2, ATS, PC2, Arma 3, War of rights, ACC, AC, GT legends, Race Room, The Hunter - classic and Call of the wild!, PGA Tour 2K21 And others

Toyota 86 GrB car, you can run it at FM5 and only do 1 Pit, 4WD is awesome and you usually pass the leader before the end of the 1st lap. I usually run this when I want some quick money without having to worry about having to do much during the race. My favorite moneymaker is running the Sardegna 800 with the Chapparal 2J but it needs a lot more attention.

Yeah I use the Subaru grB car on the Tokyo express way race and win easily by not pitting. Was wondering if that would work for this race. Will give it a go 👍🏽

I used the WRX Gr.3 Rally Car. I started w/ IM tires and kept FM at lv. 6 for almost the entire race. It worked well for me cause most AI drivers pit at the end of lap 3. I made a pitstop at lap 4, fueled to 100% and even switched to fresh IM tires (+1:09 on P2). Lap 5 will be slippery (almost at W level), but in lap 6 and 7 the track starts to dry up slightly. AI gets confused about their tire choice. I managed to get the clean race bonus, so I got rewarded with 825k on credits.

Great suggestion. I used this car in the human comedy race at deep forest, the first time I won it. It’s very capable! I’m going to use it next in the human comedy race as Kyoto. It makes sense to use it in the grind at Le Mans also. Keep enjoying the game!!

Here's my method to dominate this race: Car: Ferrari 458 Italia Gr. 4 (350,000 credits) Get the High-RPM Turbocharger and Racing Silencer mods Tyres: Racing Soft Downforce: F 175 | R 203 This gives you a car with 699.92 PP | 542BHP | 1,350 Kg Lap 1: With a clean lap, you can move up to about 4th Lap 2: Move up to 1st Lap 3: Shift your fuel profile down to 4 for most of the lap, then down to 6 when your fuel gets down to 5%. [PIT - replace tyres, fill fuel to 100] Lap 4: Shift fuel profile back to 1 Lap 5: [PIT - replace tyres, fill fuel to 2.1 laps. Filling now rather than going another lap means you can keep your fuel profile on 1] Lap 6: Lap 7: Finish I like this setup because it's a powerful car that you can race on soft tyres, making it more forgiving when approaching corners at high speeds. Best to have Racing Wets on standby for dynamic weather.

For a relatively new car, I tried the MC20 😊 Race gearbox and other race upgrades, but stock exhaust for the sound, and a lot of testing for the gearing... But it got me quite a few wins 😀 I also tried a race modded AMG GTR 🙂

Have to pit every 2 to 3 laps, but I can catch the AI pretty easily, because for some reason, they like to stay on slicks even when it rains, which causes them to go super slow and slide off the track a lot, giving me an advantage in the rain as I switch to rain tires, but I just don't understand why the AI stay on slicks in the rain... 🤔

I used to be able to do this with my Peugeot 908, but with new update I can’t get pp under 700 unless I use inters. Pit stop at lemans take long so anything to reduce time in there is helpful. Doing some testing now with cars I have to find a replacement. No problems using my Peugeot in any other races. I can do the 800 race at the ring with no stops.

I put the game in easy mode to do these grinds. There is no credits penalty so I won’t stress with higher difficulty

This is much better since the update, tyre wear and fuel use is quicker so you have to factor that into your equation, it's much more realistic

This is my go to money maker at the moment. Using it to buy and try all the Gr3 and Gr4 cars. Buy a new car, add inters and wets, turbo/gearbox for Gr4 for max tune, tweak to 700pp if Gr3. Race, win easily, keep the change........ Rinse and repeat. AI cars will pit twice, so if you can one stop in the dry it's easy. If it rains, just jump on the right tyre for the conditions and the AI will be sliding everywhere as they don't like to change tyres.....

Sounds like your rocking it!!! I have never seen rain here.. I’m just doing Tokyo expressway, where the first half of the race is wet… the question is high pp inters or struggle for grip comfort hards… trying to do a different car to other streamers!

@@WiddowmakerWho There seems to be a little less rain since the latest update, prior that that only about 2 out of 30 races at Le Mans were completely dry. Otherwise inters were normally needed, maybe wets 20% of the time.

I’ve been using my 911 RSR for this race and the WTC 800 at this track… no turbo for the 700 race, a med-rpm turbo for the 800 race (and a top speed of about 197mph). Anyone else tried this car? Do you like it?

I actually don’t, haven’t used a Porsche at all in any races. I do t find they don’t drive that well on default setups. Trying to keep things simple for users, so just adding bolt ons. In some of the cafe menus, which I haven’t videod, I used the carrera gt4… it’s awesome but nothing else. Respect that you have tried it and are successfull with it

The best car for this race is definitely the Alfa 155 GT4. Just try it out! Change just tires on soft and you easily win with standard configuration. By the way: It’s 4WD so very easy to drive in wet conditions.

2013 viper with literally 0 power mods, street suspension. Sport brakes and clutch is all, hard race and intermediate. The low end on viper is unbeatable. Win by 1.00 plus everytime with only 1 stop.

Alpha 4c is perfect, 4 laps in FM3 on hards, then come in dont change tyres just refuel, set to FM1 and blitz the final 3 laps, if it rains just set traction control to 3 until it.dries off rhen back to 0, easy finish with 40+ seconds lead and 825k in the bank and that car is fun to drive.

Aston Martin DP-100 Vision is the fastest for this race, my best lap is 3.55.069, short shifting really helps chage at 7000rpm, you can check this by watching the digits move faster or slower on the speedometer when you go down Mulsanne, I have tried and tested about 20 cars for this event which was real fun, reduce pp with the ballast at 200 then use power reduction for the final reduction keeping the hp as high as possible, tuning is easy as there is no tuning available with this vgt car all elements are grayed out.

i’ve been using my XJ220 for a while for this race, almost 800 bhp but you need to put it on map 6 and still pit every 2 laps. still beat the AI with more than a minute every time

@@WiddowmakerWho I'm using the Gr.b toyota 86 rally car. Got it tuned to 788hp with a high RPM turbo...sits at 697.46PP. Followed your fuel map suggestion...and run hards without changing. Hard rain...and it is a white knuckle ride lol. Thanks for the tips!

I do it with the Dodge Viper SRT GT3-R '15 Tyres: RH ECU: 87 Ballast: 12 Power restrictor: 86 Supercharger: none With these settings and fuel map one lean, I get 4 laps a tank and a top speed of 160.

Lamborghini Veneno is a solid choice for this race. Light weight AWD lots of horsepower for the straight. Put it on fuel map 6 and pit it every 3 laps, you don't even need to put IM or Wet tires on it. Racing Hard will do it just fine.

For this one, im using "my" 775 bhp Subaru WRX Gr.B rally car. On race hard tyres. Its just shy under 700 pp and insanely fast. It will take the lead, within the 1. lap. It is my Credit maker at the moment😂🇩🇰

Did this in the ‘02 viper GTS. Supercharger + full weight reduction/exhaust/suspension/brakes + full aero. Finished over a minute ahead of second place.

I do this race with the porsche 911 gt3 tuned down pp racing hards can do 4:08 laps on fuel map 4 and 1 stop. Sometimes win the race by nearly a full lap

Highly likely you have either, wrong gear box, widebody, or rear aero. Some game language variation between regions confuses the parts being chosen.

This race is easy. You're just making it complicated. Put race on easy mode, get the ALFA 155 or the ISLE OF MAN WRX SUBARU and kick ass.

I don’t agree… I have both those cars, I could do that, but my videos are me finding my own way.. you don’t see it all, I try dozens of set ups, but I e not once copied a set up and posted some one else’s way of beating the test… every video is my way, with my set ups, and I’m loving the game. Sure I could take your advice, but I’m not doing anything on easy… I don’t do easy, on anything. I’ll do realistic, but not easy.. Over complicating things? Again, I don’t agree, but there ya go… 300 videos on Gt7 alone and the first kinda negative feedback. It’s appreciated and expected that not everyone will like my way. Thanks, you’ve given me something to consider, because there will always be those that have a differing opinion and that’s fair! I’d rather win by an inch than a mile… and I’d rather not nudge or lean on the Ai… but I have occasionally…. In fact I’ve punted a few into the next life but hey!!! Sometimes you gotta get revenge!

@@WiddowmakerWho Its a lot of fun as you dont have racing brake pads so braking is fun especially in the wet.The Jag D type,XJ13 and the De Tomaso Mangusta are great fun and highly compettive as well in that race.All of them will get you Gold easily.

I've used every gr4 vehicle and in my personal opinion either the altez or the vantage are by far the best cars the swift is very very close to being the WORST car to use no sorry it is the worst gr4 car

@@WiddowmakerWho Yeah it's probably fun if you know the strategies. I still to this day haven't beaten it, tried 4 times yesterday before i wrote the comment on this video in anger. I don't have the car in your guide so your strategy can't help me. But yeah you're right, i need to do more research for different cars on this track, it's just difficult to find something after the nerf update. I will keep trying though :)

@@WiddowmakerWho I DID IT! Finally. I managed to win with an Aston Martin One-77 '11. Enough fuel for 2 laps total, but I was EXTREMELY lucky with the weather. Just some rain drops at lap 3 but i stayed with my soft tires and kept it cool, following the weather radar closely, luckily i got no rain the rest of the race. I am so happy right now, thank you for your help and encouraging words. I tried to find the car in your link at brand central but i couldn't find it, is it a legend car? Anyhow the Aston Martin kept me in high speeds and managed to win with a 8 second advantage.

And that’s it… you can just do that. I have tried many cars but I don’t just drop back to a standard car. I try to find different ones, to keep the game fresh… although I haven’t run many Ferraris I must say. Keep enjoying the game bud
