I've always felt this game had a stronger atmosphere than the other GTAs. It's almost 20 years old and still replaying it, the atmosphere has never lost it's touch. The city feels real around you. Walking the red light district at night is a true experience to behold.

To tell the truth, Gta 3 is very old in terms of graphics and features. Gta Vice City and Gta San Andreas are much more realistic and detailed. So there is no way to feel like a real city while playing Gta 3...

@@malletUsergaming I respect your opinion, man. But I can definitely say that there is a better city atmosphere even in games released in 2001 or before. When I look at Gta 3, it's not very good at this. However, in the Xbox and Mobile versions of Gta 3, the graphics have been top-notch and the city atmosphere has come to the fore.

@@malletUsergaming Definitely. Although Max Payne 1 was released in the same year as Gta 3 and even earlier in months, it is much more realistic in terms of graphics and atmosphere. Gta trilogy remaster has been confirmed and will be released. But the release date is unknown. But it looks like it's going to be a big deal. We are waiting! Btw, no problem, bro.

@@MinecraftvsBurnout How is there better atmosphere? San Andreas don't even have ambience tracks that play in the background when you're on foot. Vice City also lacks ambient background tracks. If I cared about realistic graphics, I'd be playing GTA 5....

I love that early 2000/2001' edge of this game. This GTA has the best atmosphere of all games, for me, even that SA is my favorite game of all time. But back to this masterpiece. Everything was brand new. Internet, new amazing toys for kids, new world. Playstation on the edge. You can feel it, in this game. That retro-futuristic atmosphere. Mainly in those buildings, that house/trance oldschool music, from it. God damn it. I mixed ambient sounds from GTA III with thunderstorm from youtube and i am sleeping with it. AMAZING EXPERIENCE.

I love GTA III's tone and atmosphere. There isn't too much humor in the main story of this game, a lot of it is serious which I like. GTA III is a pretty good crime drama. I love the dark mafia/organized crime feel of the game/story.

I came from a very poor family. I always wanted to game but never had a PC. In 2013 I got my first smartphone. I craved to play an open world game. I downloaded GTA III. and was so amazed that it worked... Even though it was 12 year old game. The first missions and freeroaming around Portland will forever be my all time favourite gaming memory. This whole game was so amazing to me. I've past it like 10 times. Just this year I got to play GTA V and while the graphics were great I never got the same thrill.. Also the story seemed so draggy and boring even compared to GTA III.
