Little fun fact for you, if you’re not aware: The Maxwell Asbo is called that because in the U.K., an “ASBO” is an AntiSocial Behaviour Order, a criminal order for those who do disorderly behaviour, commonly given to delinquents like Chavs in England and Neds in Scotland. Their typical vehicle of choice would be vehicles like the early 2000’s Vauxhall Corsa, and that’s (most likely) why it’s got the name 😛

Late reply, but the UK is one of the more mentioned places in GTA V, most notably the host Cara from Non-Stop-Pop, the host for Kult FM and many British pop, rock, punk, alternative, electro, grime and dance music are present within these radio stations. There are many cars that are based from the UK, such as basing cars from the likes of Vauxhall, Ariel, Aston Martin, Land Rover/Range Rover, Jaguar, Mini, Bentley, McLaren and Ford of Europe, some of which have liveries that reference towards the UK, as well as a vertical lift jet fighter, the Hydra. There are also many appearances throughout the GTA universe that guest stars Phil Collins, Frankie Boyle and Ricky Gervais for example. There have been many British characters who've made their appearance, such as Trevor's mother, English Dave and Princess Georgina just to name a few. There is also a weapon present that has a British origin inscription, labelled "Made in Edinburgh." London is mentioned a few times throughout the series, such as Gay Tony mentioning he has clubs based there. These are just a few of what the UK is mentioned about in the entirety of the GTA series. We may be a small island, but we are very well infamous for many, many things. Above all else, Dan Houser, the co-producer of GTA needs no introduction. He was born in London and the first GTA was based in Scotland, too, where Rockstar had originally formed.

Patchwork is based on the Harlequin edition VW Golf that was offered in Europe. I believe only 26 were made. There was 4 different "versions" of the car that changed up where the colors were placed. When a customer ordered one, they could not choose which color variant they received. The different colors were the colors that the normal version of the car had available.

Fun fact : The multicolor livery (patchwork) is inspired from the VW Polo (VW Polo Harlequin to be more specific). It was a production model in the late 90's, came stock with those colorful body panels, but you didn't get to choose the colors. 400 grand for a car based on one which you can pick up in real life for only a few hundred pounds. Still, the amount of customisation offered is pretty neat. Something quite interesting about the "Patchwork" livery is that it's based on the "Harlequin" VW Golfs and VW Polos from the 1990's. R* seems quite keen on adding little references here and there that most people won't spot, which I think is quite cool :)

I think the name of the car may be a reference to the cars British roots. Asbo is an acronym for Anti Social Behaviour Order, which is basically a warning that the Police give you for anti social behaviour, who would've guessed? This kind of goes hand in hand with the fact that it's a Corsa, a car which is infamous in the more rough parts of the country.
