Everytime Rockstar releases a screenshot, they tweak lighting conditions to favor quality, I mean they switch sun position and add more light sources to make it look better but whenever you play the game it looks nothing like that because we don't have the option to add lights. It's like Spider-Man PS4/5 photo mode where you can add lights to dramatically change the scene. Other than that, I believe they're using raytracing shadows or ambient occlusion, vegetation is denser and drawed out much further into the distance.

I think 2:08 shows the greatest contrast to all the people saying this is just adjusted brightness. The lightening is drastrically improved in comparision to the pc version. Look at the light above the dumpster in the building just below, it is so much more enhanced in terms of visibility and clarity. The buildings seems to have more detail due to better clarity and view distance optimization

You can achieve E&E graphics on pc by lowering your game brightness. You'll notice the difference significantly. It'll get rid of the grey haze. This also affects night time by making the environment a little harder to see but if you're driving at night you've got your headlights.

Best thing to do if you have a ps5 is test it out in gta online then decide if u wanna buy the story. The only problem is I heard that the graphics option for the game will only be available in story mode, so ray tracing might not be available in online. I might be wrong tho

And if you have already played the old version so much that u plrobably aren’t gonna play the new one, then just don’t buy the new one and stick with the old one. If it came out a couple years ago then it should definitely be free for returning players because people wouldn’t have played it for long .

Pros - 60 fps - Able to transfer between platforms (one time migration) - similar main menu to rdr2 (going off what they said about a new back-end main menu) - render distance improvements (it’s been a long wait for that one) - I guess faster loading times (even though we pretty much got this right now) Cons - paying for the game again 😬💀 That’s all I can think of for now.

the E&E map seems wider aswel if you actually pay attention to the maze bank and the mountain on the left side, also where the letter V with the vinewood sign you see it blocks the road leading to it, but on E&E it looks further away from the V clouds have been changed, lighting is dimmed, 4K and the distance looks far on the new version.. the gta characters doesn't need changing, they look real even on the ps4 version so gta 5 on ps5 might add some details on them, making it look they are actually real, without it being red dead redemption graphics

I think this updated GTA V is going to be more than just a slight graphical upgrade. Apparently new physics, new speed cap, and new map DLC will also be coming to this version and the console version will finally be able to play over 15/30fps so it could feel like a whole new experience. Hopefully it doesn't cost much to upgrade to the enhanced version and hopefully they allow people to transfer characters or people will be pissed

How come the camera is in the same spot, but when it swaps from enhanced to regular, stuff like hills seem bigger and buildings seem closer? Like if you watch from 1:57 you can see the buildings look closer in enhanced.

It's a shame they didn't add volumetric clouds, and the modders actually did. 2:10 - They probably made this disposition only for the screenshot, but that'll be ridiculous if the Sun will actually be setting in the East.

@@chrxs61632 the Sun goes down in the East (or rather Northeast) in that exact screenshot, but anywhere else everything seems to be fine. Purple sky hues in GTA5 take place only in the evenings.

Sure it looks better, like it absolutely does, but not $20 (or $40 if you want story mode, too!) better by any stretch. Sure it’s 50% off at first, but that doesn’t change that those are the prices they’ve decided on. (And sure online is free on PS but not on Xbox.) I’m fine-ish with paying $10 for online buy that $10 should absopositivelutely also included story mode. To be honest, this should just be a free update.

They haven’t released much because they know it’s a disappointment and less people will buy it if they show gameplay. That’s another reason why they are discounting it if you preorder it. I hate rockstar games so much but I’m still buying it anyways cuz I’m sick of sitting on a loading screen for 10 minutes.

There is heavy bias here toward the expanded and enhanced version. E.g. at some comparisons, they removed things like explosions and police vehicles on the pc to make enhanced look better. I am definitely not going to buy it. (which mind you costs ALOT of money)
