Just a random question: is it not better to leave the transmission on stock? Considering upgrading it will only add 1 extra gear on street upgrade and faster shifting of gears on all other upgrades above street?? And in my eyes staying in 1st gear for as long as possible is preferable when drifting. Also, if anyone wants to practice drifting i recommend using the harbor on the bottom right corner of the map. U can drift between the stacked shipping containers and also there is a huge parking lot without any obstacles to get used to the car u are trying 2 drift.

Good question! So, based on my understanding of gearing in this game, leaving the transmission stock versus upgrading it won't affect any of the existing gear ratios, it just gives you one extra gear (thus increasing top speed) while reducing shift times. I'd recommend upgrading it to be more responsive, so if your car accidentally shifts up into 2nd it won't take much to kick it back down into 1st. With the transmission stock, this process of upshifting/downshifting will be a bit slower. In reality it won't make a huge impact, but for a base setup you plan on doing both low- and high-speed drifting with, I think it's better to do the upgrade. And yeah, the docks are another great spot to practice as well!

So I chose the benefactor schwartzer it feels like I can spin out kind of easily select my drifts aren't really that long and when I do an entry I get to like the halfway point I spin out, do I have to use the handbrake to drift? Or do I rely on a throttle to do it because I use the handbrake when I don't use the handbrake I feel like it's about to spin out and and I feel like I'm going to run into a wall i feel like I'm going too fast I run into a wall or a barrier

Schwartzer sounds like a good choice! It seems like you're talking about the methods of power control I discussed in the beginner's guide - you can let off the gas occasionally and/or use the handbrake to control your car's power and speed; both methods will work just fine. If you're still confused about those methods, go back through the beginner guide again to practice. It can take a while to learn them.

I have a problem with entry's i try and use the ones you suggested but i cant seem to do any of them but what i use is a mix of the Scandinavian flick with the handbrake entry with a mid drive speed boost with it sounds complicated but it's really not that hard for me to do that's the most thing I'm comfortable with

I love your tutorials but my biggest problem is spinning out :( I don't see it specifically addressed and im really not sure how to have less of those...

I’m not a professional but i think you are turning in to aggressively, when you hit the mid drive speed boost it usually turns a little by itself so just turn a little bit into the corner and then counterstear. When counterstearing, an easy method is to flick the left analog stick from side to side fast to more easily control the movement. Even if you only do first gear drifts this helps a lot.

I'd recommend going back through some of the drills I covered in the beginner tutorial - these specifically address the ideas of countersteering and power control, both of which you'll need to incorporate to prevent spinouts. Spinouts are either caused by not countersteering enough or applying too much power, so going back through those exercises and paying attention to my controller inputs should help you get back on track - let me know if this helps!
