Tinky Winky No.. A race doesn’t just mean who has a better top speed. It’s based on what car vehicle can just beat the other from point A to point B. If a race was based on top speed that would mean a vehicle that has awful acceleration but great top speed would always win. Also i agree with the fact that if the race was longer the pyro would most likely come out on top.

I've actually had my wing on my Starling get ripped off and continue flying. You spin uncontrollably and if you use the boost you're basically going to send yourself flying towards the ground at mach 3.

@@victorsalas2742 u have to tap the boost. The starling is the best for everything but it's hard to control if you aren't familiarized with it. Pyro is easier to fly but it doesn't turn as well as the starling. The starling is a small target too, so it's really difficult to hit, even if you are in front of it

I have a real problem: the bombs of normal starling seem to be so much more effective than all bombs of the starling you can purchase and then modify. In the modification menue „normal“ bombs aren’t available. I then tried the 2 different kinds if explosive bombs there are but they both seem clearly inferior. Which one should I choose under these circumstances?

Ive been using the pyro for a while thinking its one of the best. Now been using starling and its so much better being able to slow down turn then target lock to heavy guns while getting behind a opponent

They are both good got dog fighting. The pyro has better turn radius and the starling has a bit more acceleration to turn quick.

Pyro: looks cool, fast and is amazing in dog fights it can dodge both rockets and bullets well and your friend can be in the plane with you it’s my favourite plane. Starling: super fast, easy to dodge bullets and missiles, and one of the best dog fighters Btw this is all my opinion it’s up to you what you think :)

It’s harder to learn how to land, that is. My trick is just to find a spot to land, fly to it as if I’m gonna land, then pull up until the plane’s straight upwards and begins to stall. After that all the momentum is completely gone, and it goes down easy.

I prefer the pyro when it comes down to outrunning hydras/lasers and then strike from range but the starling is pretty good to get on their nerves by the superior maneuverability in dogfighting aspect.

So let's talk about practicality, the starling has a bomb bay and a boost (which is kinda shit if you're not using it to accelerate) and the pyro can seat 2 people, maybe if your friend likes cruising around with you, go for the pyro, and use the starling if you want to bomb people on the ground (which is hard to get used to but very useful if you get used to it)

Actually, it isn't a tie since the starling edges the pyro out in agility, it will just take a while. Last time I got into a dogfight with a pyro we were circling for 5 minutes straight until he hit the maze bank tower, which is ironic because he was using the tower to defend from me every time I would get behind him
