the part I like most about both the Futo GTX and Remus is if you brake while throttling, the car will naturally go into an oversteer. And if you're doing comp its a great way to get more angle for little effort. But since the Nebula got drift tune, thats now my favorite. Its just so satisfying and I can get crazy angle with it! edit: my dumbass said understeer and not oversteer.(corrected now) Also, for a little while I started leaning into the Jester RR due to its short rear bumper, but yeah, definitely say nebula is my fav now...for now.

I was excited for the nebula turbo, I don't have trouble with others but I just can't get this thing to slide correctly 😢 plus in freemode (for me at least) the drift tune didn't change the camera behavior, it follows the car just like a no tune car. Poopy bug lol

I thought the rr was best cuz it was my 1st drift car n everyone was using it until i got into the Remus and the vorshlaghammer n now the nebula is also my favorite, super smooth, the sentimental classic widebody feels too snappy, like it doesn’t hold angle well

I do a lot of racing and learned that most body mods affect the COM of the car. No spoiler removes the weight that would be there and gives less downforce, bumpers add weight to the front or rear, skirts add more weight to the center but also makes certain cars feel a little too responsive. I’ve been running the jester rr a lot lately and honestly I feel as if it’s the best all arounder. Then again could be my setup, but for the tighter drifts left foot braking makes it rotate pretty easily, tapping the handbrake and gas at a clipping point will make the car shoot to the other side of the track , and overall the car is super smooth. I can’t say I’m a fan of the Remus one bit, other than the customization

I’ll probably upload more clips of it later on, but have a video up right now of a route I usually do in free mode

This is just standard game dev mindset. They literally refuse to even acknowledge "bug fixes" as "nerfs" and if it isn't a nerf. It doesn't require off-setting buffs to compensate. It's a ridiculously stupid mindset, but one that is just about universal in all game devs I've ever come across. I've personally experienced it done by: Blizzard, Riot and Rockstar in the AAA gaming space. If they actually had competence in their field. They would realize the real fix is to fix the bug (upgrades applying after buying drift tune) and then change the drift tuning to give the effects that the bug was causing (EMS+Transmission+Turbo). But with it now being an intended feature, instead of a bug. But then again, if they had that level of competence. They wouldn't have ended up as game devs, but rather in the higher fields of CS. So it is what it is.

da wunderkid back again with a w video 💪 My list: keep in mind they used to all feel unique now it's more or less the same with minute differences in feel 1) jester rr, pre nerf was so fire the throttle response and longer drifts held perfect torque now its great for agility 2)zr350, just too quick and snappy to deny 3)euros, I agree it loses power and is challenging to hold a longer drift but its a very beginner friendly and easy to maneuver car 4)vorschlaghammer, dude this thing goesss but yea its boat and a half when u really cut it sideways 5) sentinel classic, its weird cuz its so short so its almost too snappy and can feel all over the place but with practice its one of the few drift cars left that have that speed factor to them once u figure out how to hold those longer drifts 5) nebula turbo, slow and heavy but its the cadillac of drift tuning cars in gta its just buttery bro 6)remus, personally bro I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY YOU LOVE THIS CAR😂 its fast woth great torque easy to whip and kinda just wants to float and drift, but I could never figure this car out it just seems to fight me on holding angle and doesnt wanna stay (my fault for sure lol) but I think its poo lol 7) fr36, its just not realistic its so nerfed 😭 not how you would expect a vq motor to perform at all its slowww to do anything and lacks that punch the euros remus and zr350 share everything else is meh lol

One little tip to maybe shake up the ranking. Try using smaller wheels on sentinel classic widebody since it's non drift variant gets effected by "offroad wheels better" as some older cars it also transfers to drift variant, running (category) tuner wheels which are smaller and have more tire feels different to running for instance (category) track/ sport tires which are low profile on big rims.. just try it If I'm just insane or if it really makes difference for you as well.. Maybe its placebo but for me it made the car feel better. Let me know if you test it I'm curious
@TheOldEskimo3 ай бұрын
Sentinel Classic was added with the Doomsday Heist, and the Widebody with Criminal Enterprises dlc. None of them benefit from off road tires afaik, and if they did it would make them handle bumps (and curbs) better, not handling or performance in general. I’d say it’s probably just the placebo effect
@ReZignated3 ай бұрын
@@TheOldEskimo both variants have tires_can_clip as handling flag hence offroad wheels or tuner wheels (or small street) will help with overall handling better but what I'm trying to say is that it transfered to drift variant too and makes a difference in feeling of the car (for me it feels better with those tuner wheels at least).. Did more digging and cars affected by tires_can_clip handling flag are following: sentinel classic widebody, Euros, FR36, jester RR, vorshlaghammer All of these will handle better with smaller rims try it
@StevieWunderKid2 ай бұрын
You are right in that the drift tuning cars have the "tires_can_clip" flag, but remember that they also have the "fix_old_bugs" flag that mostly masks the effects of the different sidewall sizes. I'd have to test this more, but based on what we know in the game files, wheels should have minimal to no effect. Here's a link to the handling details for the Drift Euros, but the flags are the same for all other drift tuning cars - gtacars.net/gta5/drifteuros
@ReZignated2 ай бұрын
@@StevieWunderKid First of all thanks for your time. Glad we're both using broughy's site for reference but stats on paper doesn't tell the whole story sometimes. You are correct yet I still find those cars to handle different on those smaller wheels. Anyone I've told to test smaller wheels from our car crew (specificaly tuner wheels) without telling them what it should do just told me after their test that the cars handles smoother and faster. From my own testing specifically for instance the Vorshlaghammer sometimes had tendency to 'doubleclutch' into understeer after handbrake correct mid drift (on Benny's rims), that does not happen with tuner wheels for me because the front feels like having just more grip. It's hard to explain but all those cars I've tested (mainly Vorshlaghammer, Sentinel, Euros) feel like they dig in more with smaller ones. But maybe I'm just crazy and wasting everyones time but if you try to do some tests let me know. Thanks in advance

Armor , tire type & suspension really change how a drift car handles .
@StevieWunderKid2 ай бұрын
Armor has no effect on weight, this has been proven countless times - the only thing that affects a car's weight is if a passenger is riding with you. Suspension upgrades were discussed in the video; as for tires, they don't have that drastic of an effect on tire grip due to the flag that fixes the 'tyres_can_clip' mechanic.

Whatever you say dude, like I said, just my opinion. Any car that's AWD and has a soft suspension will naturally have a bit of understeer, and it's especially noticeable if you're drifting at high speeds - you can literally see the front end pushing in a lot of the cars in the clips. Just saying "no" to a point I explained at length in the video and telling me I can't drive, after you supposedly watch my videos, doesn't really make much sense.

@@Cat_With_The_Gat Same here, and I've mentioned multiple times throughout my videos (hell, even this one) the importance of left-foot braking. Like yeah, you won't experience any understeer if you're constantly holding down the brakes, but where's the fun in that if you're only going like 10 mph? The cars where you need to use them the least, so that way you're not scrubbing off a lot of speed, have a massive competitive advantage over those that do have more understeer and require the brakes to be used more. Like another reply has said, I think you've misunderstood my point and probably haven't paid much attention to this video or my other ones that you've watched.
