Yea, I'm pretty sure that bump from before that pit was an accident since they were on the inside and simpa was on the outside moving in and hit them. Even then, Simpa did punish them a bit after that but then went further.

Hey man if you land on top of the corridor after the first jump you can keep going and not miss any checkpoints, no need to turn around or blow yourself up trying to avoid it. Also if you go beside the ramp on that first jump you spend less time in the air
