This Wangan Midnight showcase is about the cars from the original anime and manga series ONLY, using mods of real car models. Here are a few notes about this video: - I put Jun Kitami's picture for Jun Sonoda by mistake. I was working on a lot during the time and made a small error but the name and car is still correct so it's not a big deal. We know Jun Sonoda by face so please ignore that. Accidents happen when you have to create a million cars. - All cars were recreated as accurately as possible based on the mods used, albeit not EXACT replicas. - Certain cars didn't have window decals functionalities, so I placed the decals on the front side door panels instead. - Certain cars I could only recreate from manga (black and white pictures) and screenshots from the video games, so they may not be the color they are supposed to. - The LS400 mod I used for Gen Sasaki's car is low quality to say the least but I don't have any other options. - Makoto's GC8 was the sedan, not the coupe but I used the 22B mod instead based on quality and customization options. - Takayuki was a minor member of R-2OO Club, but considering he was a loner, I didn't include him in the group in the video. - Yoshiaki had two variations of his Testarossa, the original and the Koenig Specials edition. Considering the mod has no customization options, I only used the original variation. - PLEASE UNDERSTAND the purpose of these videos are to showcase the most relevant and iconic cars ONLY. I will not sit here all day recreating every single car from the series so please have realistic expectations and criticism. I am only one person.

Skylines were the weapon of choice for highway racing since the debut of the R32 in 1989. You literally couldn't find a better car for that price. Just look at pictures or videos from that era, it's all Skylines.

@@hybridAbsol no they're not lol they provide good grip at high speeds, preventing possible wheel spin. Of course, rwd is also good and can top certain cars however it is inferior to awd. Listen man, I like initial d too but rwd isnt the way to go on highway races.

@@matboss1115 its not about drivetrain, its all about how the driver reacts, AWD isnt always the solution to everything, so what if they corner little better, the weigh of 4 wheels will affect top speed, if your going to dominate the long straights, RWD is the key becuz lesser weight on the front

From my knowledge, Wangan Midnight is the first manga of 4. The 2nd manga is called Wangan Midnight C1 Runner which I believe Akio is not the main character. The 3rd manga is called Ginkai no speedstar which I have very little knowledge of. The 4th manga is called Shutoko SPL which I also have no info on. As far as I know there are no english translations for C1 Runner through Shutoko SPL. This is only based on my knowledge alone and isn’t 100% accurate. An example I can put of this is the Yellow FD rx7 and the RGO R33. The yellow FD raced against the blackbird and devil z in the manga and the RGO R33 driven by yamanaka (the mechanic who checked Eiji’s Lan Evo at the RGO factory) raced against blackbird while akio was testing Kei’s Supra

I can't blame they'reusing skylines. Back then, the most stable and powerful car you can get are skyline. But one car that i was excited to see is kuroki's r33. That guy modify his car 800 hp on his own and very stable. I can imagine that car went so fast if that thing next to me

You’re correct but also kinda not correct at the same time (lol idk) but the anime doesn’t cover as much as the manga does. I dont know if kitami had a car which is correct but possibly he got a r33 later in the events of WM C1 Runner or shutoko SPL, which are not in english translation so I cant read it. An example I can put is the RGO R33 which actually raced against blackbird while they were testing kei’s supra. This happened only in the manga

Should include the ones from the arcade and PS3 version, its missing a lot here; Akio has a purple 300ZX(Z31) Kou has a grey and red 2nd gen RX7 Goto has a beige colour R34 GTR Sasaki drives a maroon LS400 while has a dark blue 300ZX when he was younger Makoto has a sky blue 300ZX CCR has 2 different R33, a red and grey one JPN R33 is midnight purple not gloss purple Yasuro drives a silver R33 not red Hiramoto used to have a white 280ZX before going into the GTR Ohta drives a red and yellow RX7 while has a red RX3 when he was younger, the R33 was a project car for the shop, it doesnt have a owner Kuroki has a black R32 back then Tomoya has a honeydew coloured R32 Ohki has a white 3rd gen RX7 Ishida also drove a Gemballa 911 and Corvette ZR1 Ogishima has a white and blue 3rd gen RX7, a white 911 3.8RS Kijima has a white SL500, yellow Supra A80 Masaki also has a gun grey Mazda Cosmo Sport, a flatfaced 911 RS and 928GT Yamamoto also has a 2004 and 2010 Subaru WRX, a 2013 Miata and a gold R33 Yuuji drove a silver S2000, not a white one Lastly, Maki has a yellow Lancer Evolution as well
