To be honest I wish Rockstar would make a legit modern Zombie apocalypse survival game, with all the thought and detail they put into GTA5 and RDR2 , I think a Zombie Apocalypse survival game by them would blow every other zombie game and a lot of survival games out of the water, just like GTA5 and RDR2 did for their genres.

Thanks for streaming this! Chill stream, fun and sometimes productive (ha ha) gameplay and engagement with your viewers. Totally subbed. The game itself looks and plays amazingly for a 5-ish year old mod (even with all the to be expected minor script breaks). Not as painfully detailed and grindy as some other modded or actual zombie survival/crafting games (say, Project Zomboid which is totally not the same genre for the base game), but the level feels about right for a casual game like GTA 5. I used to often play my other high-hour count games with a LOT of mods, though most of them have actual modding support even if it's manual installation in subfolders and not Steam workshop. When I looked up GTA 5 mod installation, it looked like a lot of the mods tend to overwrite game files, which I guess contributes to the instability you mentioned. Sounds like more bother than I care for these days, since my highly modded gameplay has often been frustratingly unstable. :D But you're really tempting me to try playing this with mods. Do you have a list? You mentioned several besides the zombie one, which I see you linked in the desc. As well as a recommendation for a good and current guide on mod installation and how to not break the game, or at least unbreak it when that happens (besides the obvious game file verification)?

Hey glad you enjoyed! The mods don't overwite any original files unless you tell it to. Usually, most people including myself copy the original files to a mods folder that is modified from there, making the game load the copied and modified files and leaving the originals untouched :) As for unbreaking the game, you'd simple delete the mods and scripts folder, any ASI file or DLL, original or not, and then update the game and it will install what's missing and should be mod free, saving you from downloading the whole game again :) I haven't watched this vid as I I've installed alot of mods before, but this seems to be a relatively recent installation vid (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnfLaJaXfrllbtE) And this vids description has alot of extra mods to improve the experience! @@MIST3HH Awesome, thanks for your prompt reply! I just finished your recent ep 3. I'll see if you've sorted the fuel situation by ep 4, but I think unless the simple fuel script was expressly written with zombie script fuel compatibility in mind, you'll continue to get the sometimes yes/no fuel conflicts. At two points in ep 3 (I noted 45 minute mark, but not the next incident when you swapped to a Merryweather jeep), the orange gauge on the left and the graphical fuel gauge on the right were in sync, but not the text number fuel value. It appears that when EITHER the simple fuel OR the zombie fuel (the text value?) goes to zero, your vehicle stops working. But later after some update change (I forget, either you saved and reloaded, or slept in the tent, or did something with the jerrycan), the text fuel value and the orange gauge/graphical gauge all synced up again. HOWEVER, the orange/graphical gauge value used fuel up at a faster rate than the text value for fuel, which led to them being out of sync again. So either get rid of the second fuel script (simple fuel and the graphical fuel gauge mods?), or use BOTH refueling methods all the time to keep both scripted fuel values full -- fill up at the pump AND use the jerrycan. By next time, hopefully I'll have had time to install and play w some of these mods so I'll be able to speak from firsthand experience instead of merely observing your gameplay and making my baseless speculations. :D

Ofcourse! And I appreciate this, but yes I've fixed it :) I knew I'd have to remove a fuel mod but I couldn't remember if it was a drag and drop to scripts mod or not. Turns out it was and all it took was deleting that script! Resulted in an issue with the 1st fuel mod though. But that can be fixed easily with a reinstall of that mod :)

The Playboy Mansion is actually the one you called the Party Mansion for the record. It's not in the mountains, not sure why they said it was. And back when Andre (TypicalGamer) played this mod, the vehicle repair kits did in fact repair a vehicle a certain amount, depending on the amount of damage the vehicle has. So that GWagon should have repaired the popped tire, and added back the hood on it too. So I think that part of the mod is also not working currently, unless they changed it since 2017.

Rockstar would make a fortune if they just took gta v and make this game. Add in base building and extraction missions. They have the city and map already, id play this all day, make it multiplayer like state of decay. I never understand why studios don’t take old titles and just mod them. Make red dead 2 multiplayer. The zombies part yes, anything else no. It would only affect missions. Once zombies is activated in game, it removes all NPC/Peds. That will include anyone in a mission besides yourself

I've played 100s of Horror games and watched the majority of horror movies. Absolutely love them! But yeah zombies. Not so much GTA for some reason, but in general, make me feel claustrophobic or some similar feeling. Nor sure exactly what it is either haha. Strange.

Baigagee has a few GTA5 Zombies videos too but he’s got additional mods loaded in too… u should do another play through with the Mods he used except with survivors… he had them shut off but if u check out his video the scenery is amazing it’s so beautiful with incredible detail into making it look post apocalyptic like “the last of us” or “days gone” or the movie “I Am Legend” or “the walking dead” series and also has the realistic driving and damage to vehicles which increases the overall difficulty just bc of the vehicles lol and by shutting off the ambient noise from the city can make it way more immersive… really hope you check out his videos and try it out that way… also if u need weapons always good to hit up the police department

You’d probably like Project Zomboid on steam. Def not graphically in the same department but one of the best survival games ever made.

I remember when I had torn my ATFL back in 2017, I had a month to kill just laying up healing, and I binge watched Andre (TypicalGamer)'s GTA V Zombie Apocalypse mod series he did back then, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Inspired me to eventually, once I had/have a good enough system to handle it and recording/streaming it, to do my own as well. And here I stumble onto yours in my recommended. A form of Nostalgia for sure!
