Its a 22 year old game back in the Rockstar wasn't as big as a company as it is now when they transitioned to the 3d era of gaming they didn't know what they where doing because the technology was new to them it wasn't until san andreas where they really got their footing and really pushed what they could do but now with definitive edition yes they lose to modders

Nice video man! btw "Bang Radio" is a tribute to the devs of an ancient mod for GTA 3 called "GTA 3 Toughened" from 2013, this mod makes GTA 3 harder too. The people who sing the songs in a funny awful way are actually the devs of that mod and Rob decided to put it in his mod too. Also he put another tribute to them in the mission where you have to pick up Misty from the club. (One of Misty's exe's which was also a joke in GTA 3 Toughened lol).

Man as someone who does audio I can painfully hear the dozens of times this audio file was chopped, hacked, slashed into pieces mid-word and mid-sentence and haphazardly pasted together. It's like a record scratch every time it happens. But I doubt most people can hear it and the end product is perfectly comprehensible. Interesting mod, might check it out, thanks for showcasing.

These mods are hard as intended but done well. Allot of the unlocks are intersting. Ive receny checked out GTA3 forelli redemption, a complete overhaul mod that can be played on PS2 hardware. Pretty impressive.

I made a few GTA 3 mods recently and this one is probably on top. If you like total conversions, you should look into GTA: Ultimate Winter Mod. It's not a simple weather mod, it's a whole new story with new mechanics and vehicles.

Very good video indeed, I’ve already played the mod and completed all mission but I haven’t tried the side missions/hidden packages that are required for 100% game completion. The reason I downloaded the mod was because I am a huge fan of Gta 3 and I liked the atmosphere and it’s fun to complete 100% completion from time to time by replaying it, and I like that the older gta games was more challenging and the fact they didn’t had any mission Checkpoints. So after finding Gta 3 too easy I downloaded Gta 3 toughened mod. It’s a very old simple mod that does same thing like tightened thrice but it’s much smaller mod, it basically changed the mission script to troll with the players to make the missions in any% category more annoying by hiding extra enemies with M16 and cutting time in missions so you have to speedrun. Basically like tightened thrice. Also Bang Radio first appeared in this mod and I fell in love with the radio and without it I wouldn’t be able to Save Maria. And what I like about that mod is that it will automatically be separate from the original game files when you have it in your Gta 3 folder so you have to launch it on a separate exe.file and it won’t disrupt your progress in vanila game so you can have the mod without any backup and the icon is cool red skull. So Tightened thrice feel like a 2.0 version of toughened mod but instead of just increasing the difficulty on missions it add so many more features from like vice city like you can finally shot tires and glass like you said in the video. And they also add BETA content that was left in the game files like cars, pedestrians like Darkel. And Radio with banger songs and Libery City stories content. And I love the fact each mission are much more unique like it used to be with new interiors to make the game look even better. I watched Moonboye’s first video on Gta 3 and I got hooked and hyped to see what changed from the original mission to compare them and strategize on how to pass them. and finally when the mod got released I didn’t got disappointed at all, I just loved the challenge because when you’ve played a game for hundreds of hours they just becomes too easy and it was fun to feel challenged again by playing. So please if you love the older Gta Games and you want a challenge I highly recommend you to try the mod. Now we all are Hyped For Gta San Andreas to make it the real trilogy for experienced players who wants a challenge. (If San Andreas don’t got Bang Radio inside the future mod We can Say I won’t be able to get past San Fierro)

for everyone wondering why the camera mod isn't working. Change the extension of the dll file to .asi and then move it to the gamedir/scripts/ folder. At least that's what worked for me

This looks very interesting! Believe it or not I keep a copy of GTA III on my computer at all times and play it fairly regularly even to this day! I've probably completed the game 70 or more times over the years, and try to find new ways to complete the missions so it doesn't get too stale. So the 'changed' missions in this mod should prove entertaining.

Gta3 is my altimeter favourite game. Been playing this since release in 2001. And have completed it 100% only twice. It is a hard game to beat at 100% especially the off-road missions 1 in Portland and the 4 th one In shoreside vale.

I didn't include it for possible copyright reasons. It's Spin, Spin, Sugar (Armand's Dark Garage Mix) by Sneaker Pimps. It was included with LCS' version of Rise FM, and in this mod.

It's not included, but there are mods that do that, that should be compatible with this mod. CLEO and .asi mods are mostly compatible with Tightened Vice.

Btw, there 3 hardcore difficulty mods series in GTA community: Toughened, Tightened, and Hardened. But Hardened series - if may remember corretly, is just pure masochism/kuso-game for sake to trolling you. You can complete this mods (I am talking about Hardened series) - but it gonna cost you a some nerve, to challenge that series. (What ironic - is that mods series (hardened) - was made by another modder, then Toughened and Thightened - made by one same guy)

I think the idea is that speedrunners are often very intimate with the game's mechanics and progression, and oft have a high level of skill. So the mod is designed for their level of skill but also to play with their previous knowledge and expectations, basically, a mod intended for skilled fans that are deeply familiar with the game. Of course, this is just my assumption but I think it is reasonable :)

Rockstargames cant make these remakes, remasters etc because they don't have development staff for 10 years already and that small amount of staff was rather few coders and the rest was maintance flipping already existing content that they spoon fed for Online. GTA6 was also sourced out work, not in-house development staff or project. Heck even RDR2 wasnt in-house too. Their last game was GTA5 and even that was pretty much halfbaked nonsense. If you believe they can make a better remaster of old GTA games then you are completely wrong. Heck they actually already did and that was awful too. Modders can do wonders for FREE but then they get legally shut down and their work erased. I been there and I wont anymore. I am done supporting this company decades ago and I am done wasting my life on these too ... You are doing things on your own risk.

Did I, or the dev of this mod claim that TT "fix" the game? No. This mod was a passion project by a fan of the series, who happens to be an experienced game dev in their spare time. They've also created their own indie title of their own. They just happen to make these mods out of passion for the series. Take that negativity over to the "modders" who steal other peoples work and put it on a patreon.

The definitive editions seriously "ruined" Rockstar's reputation for you then you haven't been paying attention. Should they have trusted Grove Street Games? No. Probably not. But you know what the last game Rockstar personally developed and released was? Red Dead Redemption 2. One of the best pieces of art in any medium in history. How about we wait to see how GTA VI turns out before we all turn into reactionary jackasses?

Rockstar has more than enough studios where they could've taken the time from one of them to develop those remasters in house, or hired a better third party company to develop them. Yeah it's Grove Street Games fault those remasters were bad, but Rockstar/Take Two still made the executive decision to ship those out. So idk, still a bad move on Rockstar's part. I'm still confident about what VI has to offer, but you can't deny the scummy/anti-consumer business practices that R* has made within the past 10 years.
