Hostile Negotiation was one of only a few GTA IV missions where in my playthrough I showed no mercy at all to the enemy NPCs, even going to the point of overkill when wasting them. These points in the story just really grabbed me and I became so committed to protecting Roman and seeking revenge against Dimitri.

I just discovered something cool about this mission, if you have a wanted level when you approach the warehouse it will automatically disappear. I thought maybe you could use this to get the Walk Free achievement/trophy but alas you cannot.

That gave me an idea for a symbolic "hardcore mode" for GTA IV. This would involve a list of how you must complete all the missions the hardest way possible, such as doing this mission entering with the chopper, and using the un-assisted joystick aiming. That would be an interesting challenge.

Another way is flying a helicopter, receive the call, but as you are on the phone, fly to the roof. The enemies on the roof will not spawn, so there is no danger of being shot down by rockets.
