The mask in gta has a different design then the one in the movies, they can get away with it the same way the get away with their gta parody cars. New Line Cinema have the copyright to Jason Voorhees, but not a guy wearing a hockey mask who's wielding a weapon - that would be a parody, but not infringement.

I just hope that they do this again next year and every year until GTA 6, putting all the events on at once makes the game so much more alive. I think the driver, along being a reference to nightmare on elm street, is a reference to Peter, from arena war. He appears to be wearing the outfit bryony gives us when we first enter the workshop, which presumably with be bloodstains, belonged to a dead arena war driver.

Pro tip: For maximum terror: Try to do the cerberus event in the rain. Because unlike in the dry, the brakes on the cerberus can't stop it properly, making it go MUCH faster than normal. Also, the fact the streets are wet means that your car is slower. Genuinely makes that event absolutely terrifying and it's a much better experience.

I encountered doppelgängers twice today on two different accounts. Didn’t know what it was the first time. Appeared behind me at LSIA after I’d finished a Cayo Perico scout. I shot it a few times and it just kept coming and stabbed me to death. Next time was up in Grapeseed. I rammed it with my car and it just bounced off, so I got out and decided to box it. Got about 11 shots in before I made a mistake and got stabbed to death 🤷‍♀️ Yet to see any of the other 5.

It was really fun not being able to do any of this because it's impossible to see anything in storms and cars slide around like ice because of the rain. That, and Online's usual toxic playerbase. I encountered a clone slasher after only like 2 or 3 minutes in the lobby so I guess the 16 minutes requirement doesn't really work
