GTA Online: Clashing with Oppressor Mk 2 Users...

Bit of a rant here but it has to be done. I’ve been playing GTA Online since it came out, and in all my time of playing I’ve never loathed something more than the Oppressor MK2. Forget wall glitches, jet griefers, homing launchers, explosive snipers, and even the orbital cannon; the MK2 tops the cake in overpowered vehicles. Every session I join there’s always at least three people flying around on this bike, usually killing other players. This bike takes NO SKILL TO USE!!! You just fly around and kill whatever you please with it’s un-dodge-able missiles. Tank/armored vehicle? No problem. Attack helicopter? Goodbye. Fighter jet? A flaming wreck. It dominates any aspect of PvP, from battles in the sky to fights on the ground. It’s small, agile, has countermeasures, and missiles. And even if you manage to destroy one, the guy driving it only needs a MC club to call it back in almost instantly with no cool down or charge. The MK2 ruined flying helicopters, flying jets, driving vehicles, or even stepping outside your apartment. The MK2 ruined GTA Online.

I think the best way would be to remove it entirely from freemode and restrict it to specific missions only. OR keep it for freemode but remove the countermeasures, nerf it's rockets to the ground like the jetpack and buff the homing launcher's rockets to the current op mk2 tier

nerfing the missile tracking would make the oppressor mk2 even more op, because you wouldn't be able to fight fire with fire anymore. keep the tracking but heavily nerf the RANGE. right now the main disadvantage the stromberg has is lock on range. To be specific it has half the lock on range. i would buff every car's lock on range by 10% and half the current range mk2 has

Mk2 spam= No skill. I mean, any vehicle that has rockets would then mean that the player who uses it is bad. Imo, I wouldn’t call this players bad or anything since it is in the game, but if they end doing some type of trick that kills an opposing player killed, then I think it’s great. But in all honesty, everyone has different playstyles that some might find annoying, which is fine since that is your opinion, but I personally believe if it’s in the game, then other options such as the Ruiner 2000 are good counters to use along with maybe using GO or OTR if people get killed for no reason that is.

He spawn and immediately had a new bike, I thought he must have 20 of them. This is really exaggerated and I collected a lot of BS points until I use the Ruiner fully Loaded. After that, he left.

Really nice video and utilisation of the Savage. Although you did a great job at killing this piece of trash with the cannons, its a good idea to circle around the targeted area (where the player could spawn next) so that you are always in motion and avoid homing missiles or dumbfire missiles. And try to use cover as much as possible (behind houses and large structures). They reduce line of sight and make your opponents confused about your actual location. Otherwise great job!

Regardless of any opinion on what to do with it, I think we can all agree it needs a *substantial* nerf of some form. Whether it’s through reduced ammo (maybe 6 missiles), reduced tracking accuracy, lower velocity missiles, lower vehicle maneuvering, or simply removing the missile feature entirely. While I don’t think the vehicle needs to be removed entirely, on the grounds that it is OP, it does need a powerful nerf to reduce the tryhard/griefer threat.

LOL. I ran across someone using an Oppressor Mk 2 a few days ago. I was in my Nightshark, I drove straight at him while he was about 10 feet above the ground, and when I got about 5-10 feet in front of him, he blew himself up while spewing missiles at me. Probably the only time I've taken one of these things out because I dont have a lot of vehicles or weaponry.

People think the MKII is the terror of the skies...it’s not. Yeah, fighting them with aircraft is next to impossible.You can shoot that thing down with explosives, the Up and Atomizer, Deluxo, Stromberg, Vigilante, or Ruiner 2000. Even regular guns if they’re dumb enough to get close. The real beast though...is the Savage. The strikeforce doesn’t live up to what it’s supposed to be...the Savage takes the top spot for ground targets. There is no stopping that thing when it gets to you. If you’re in a free mode event or work, you will die over and over. You can’t go passive, you can’t run, you’re just done.

Yeah but all the counters you suggested are easily counterable and or ridiculous to pull off. Anything involving missiles is just *hoping* the user is stupid enough to go near you and/or uses chaff and flares correctly (of which i will admit most tryhards are stupid enough to go near you and won't use counter measures but the point still stands) It takes too much effort/time to take one down with normal weapons. The oppressor mk2 generally has no hard counters. The closest thing we have to deal with these bugs is a savage or a hunter with a gunner. And the fact that the mk2 is spammable. Doesn't even matter if you take one down.

Special Carbine & Up-N-Atomizer I find is the most useful weapons to take down MK2 Oppressors. Special Carbine for when they are in range and you lightly flick the controller stick up while firing to increase the chances of headshots. Up-N-Atomizer is pretty much invisible and also the shockwave radius expands when fired so when the Oppressor get close enough fire towards it and most times the shockwave has expanded knocked the player off and then you kill them and blow the f*cking broomstick up!

Nightshark with C4 works great. Make them fly low and toss C4. An mkii can unload all their missiles on NS and you still wont blow up. Atomizer works well too when the fly low.

If anyone is interested I'm gonna give my opinion on buffing the B-11 So we all know the gun is to weak right? So that is the only thing that should get buffed in my opinion. I'd say it would be a good idea to give the gun burst fire like abilities, where you press the trigger it fires of like 20 bullets in about 1.5-2 secs. With a 3 seconds cool down in-between trigger pulls. Furthermore make the bullets projectiles and not hitscan so they have to travel the way before hitting you. That would as well Nerf the better gun in dog-fights. And to be real the plane is ment for CAS (Close Air Support) and not dogfighting. If that isn't enough limit the ammo to 1000 rounds per flight If anyone wants to add something go ahead

I'm almost always in auto-aim sessions these days. I used to only counter them with the Stromberg but since it is very ineffective agains auto-aim players, I started using the Scramjet a lot. Really fun actually! Blow their Oppressor up then kill them on ground. Inspired by Scramjet montages of course :). Mayonnaise is his name: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6jKkot5jsataa8 :)

Despite the broomstick being a try hard weapon I use it every time I play gta online because it’s so fast and you can do headhunters and sightseers so easily aswell if you and your friends sell a buisness you can help defend them with the broomstick
