And it has come a long way since Xbox One. Big Freemode fights would actually go as far down as 15 fps, which makes ~40 look pretty good.

FPS drops below 60 are very common even on PC.... I have an RTX 2060 playing on mid-to-high settings and yet when there's 30 people it can even drop to as low as 45. GTA Online is just so badly optimized.

All the modes are 4k. I got ps5 and series x and they both are at 4k no matter what. I don't know about upscaling or series s but all the modes are 4k. Edit: checked and yeah the series s gets 1080p for both performance modes while the series x and ps5 get upscaled 4k. I'm guessing it's blurry for you because the anti aliasing is crappy.

One thing I don't like is that when you're aimed in with heavy sniper (mk2 at least) they removed the rechamber noise after you shoot, so I shoot too early and cant because I don't have that audio notification that I can fire the next bullet. Also on stream I told you that my minimap icons for aircraft were removed, but for you they weren't. Definitely a few bugs

Well, the noise after you shoot was actually from the bolt on the regular sniper rifle, and it wasn't suppose to be on the heavy sniper since you know... It's a semi auto.

I watched your video on input delay and was waiting for your take on perfomance with the new consoles, because you explain it very clearly and thoroughly. I'm debating on buying a ps5 (as I don't game on xbox), but I have specs now for solid PC perfomance, and it certainly seems that performance is way better on PC, and clearly will always be. But then you have other concerns like modders and d/dos ppl, info thiefs/hacking, etc. I know it's not impossible to encounter these things on console, but it's definitely less frequent. The rendering distance is a big one for me, as I like to fly my mark 1 (like joker does), and not seeing targets until last second makes it near pointless. Also with sniping, when you can't see someone clearly and they (for some reason) can, and you get sniped immediately, pi$$es me off to the max. Buying the game for a 3rd time is a no go for me, and I'm reluctant to part with more money (for ps5). Difficult problems ahead, sigh. Yeah ofc the game feels very nice to play now since there is no half vsync (Unless you set the game in fidelity mode at 30 fps lol). At 60 fps it pretty much feels like PC with a controller, except that you can't change the graphic settings so you will get some pretty massive FPS drops on Expanded. And yeah as you said the render distance will be way worse on consoles. If you like to use vehicles like the oppressor or helis or jets ground players won't show up unless they are very close. That's why a lot of people use thermal in vehicles on consoles. On PC you won't have this issue, but well... Modders lol Personally I've made my choice : I would take Expanded on consoles any day over GTA on PC. As a content creator the modding issue on PC is just unbearable at this point. I have to make alts all the time to play in peace so I don't get stalked by modders. But even then I still meet "wild" modders who constantly ruin my fights even though they don't know who I am. I have 0 intention to set foot on PC again. If you are really into PvP on this game then I 100% recommend playing on Expanded. You will have to deal with some very annoying issues but it's nowhere as bad as what you will go through if you get the game on PC lol

If you had to chose, which console would you pick out of xbox series X or ps5 ?, i.e. for gaming (gta and beyond) and content creation uses. It's easier to get content there For gaming I'd pick Xbox. People on Xbox tend to be more chill. The Xbox community on GTA seems to be a bit more mature from my experience. Playstation is filled with weird kids in comparison. In 2015 a mid-range PC ran this game at 100fps easily and current-gen consoles struggle to maintain 60fps despite being significantly more powerful. You can blame Rockstar's dogshit spaghetti code for this. Even with the additional effects and higher resolution the main culprit is still the game being more and more bloated with garbage , because every time they add a new update the game runs worse.

To be honest I adore the new GTA on console. Moving from the PS4 and XB1 means I was used to 15fps (sometimes much less) but now at a solid 60fps (even on the cheap series S) is fantastic! Yh I have noticed stuttering playing gta 5 online on ps5. Other games are fine. I’m using the LG cx oled tv 120hz which sync better with the Xbox series x thn the ps5. No vrr 🤦🏼‍♂️

@@MetProSOWC But god damn is that the bare minimum, BF4 already did this and gave us an upgrade to 60 FPS with more settings options like transparency, latency tracker, opacity, etc. For some reason the occlusion rendering is still not fixed, and BF4 somehow made walls register in INV. They gave us an improvement that was a standard 7 years ago, but didn't bother to fix any of the legacy issues.

I play Fortnite. The seriesX holds 110-120fps during a stacked endgame. Which is better than my brothers ps5 that stays at 75-80s . Lowest fool I’ve seen was 90

I use an old version of a software called Trdrop That's the only way I know to measure the framerate on consoles atm

I have a 32” 1440p 120 fps Dell monitor and with my Xbox series x it’s good, the frames work well but I think gta just automatically puts 1080p and im not sure how I could change to 1440p for a little bit more quality.

you have to set the resolution to 1440p in the console, if its set up like this then the game will be running in 1440p in performance and performance RT mode I got multiple 1440p monitors and gta expanded is running just fine on Series X at that resolution On my PS5 in the other hand I can only get a 1080p signal since the PS5 doesn't handle 1440p resolution so it kinda looks blurry on this console

In my case Performance mode are the best, The graphic show more solid and consistent than P.RT (on ps5), but Draw distance are still sucks

Consoles CPU 3.5Ghz is not enough for this game. Last Xbox and PS4 had 2.8Ghz (15FPS) You need 2 quick cores ..not 8 weak cores

maybe you have talked about this in a livestream or video that I missed but recently I found out about response times of different controllers and how playstation controllers have a much lower response time than xbox (almost half I think), also you cannot overclock an xbox controller on pc (to make the response time even lower). so I was just wondering since you pretty much do it all from PlayStation to xbox to pc, do you notice a difference? and what controller do you like to use on pc for dogfighting and stuff? hope all is well ;3
