Keep in mind this is all my opinion. I just don't find the DLC very interesting, things are overpriced and I just find it funny that you can spend shark card money in the casino. I've had people tell me you can't spend shark card money on the casino. I'm pretty certain that is only in certain areas and countries.

This video doesn't make sense. The community literally asked for this, which proves that you have no idea what you're talking about. If you really wanted to make a video on how Rockstar has been trying to milk players, why didn't you make a video about how the game promotes griefing by telling players to destroy other player's cargo ( Drugs that you can sell for 24,000-420,000$.) The problem with this is that Rockstar gives literally 2,000 dollars for doing this, which means there is no incentive to destroy cargo other than griefing and wasting people's time. If someone has their cargo destroyed, they're gonna do one of three things. 1. Keep playing and not be annoyed at all (very unlikely) 2. Ragequit. 3. Buy shark cards. The third option is what Rockstar wants. If you really cared about exposing Rockstar's greed, you'd make a video about THIS. Not something the community asked for.

I've been working in a casino lately remodelling one of the restaurants, and these places are staggering in just how wealthy and beautiful they are.As compared to the shitty casino in game, I'd rather just go to an actual casino

I did the math: GTA$800,000,000/GTA$8,000,000= 100 Megalodons in which you have to purchase $9,990 in real money to buy them. On GTA SP you can easily get yourself a trainer and instantly have over a billion dollars without hardly ever having to spend real money. I know it is cheating, but it is way better than having to grind for hours on end since Rockstar has banned the use of mods on GTA Online. It sucks so bad. If you want to play a good GTA game from the HD era look no further than GTA 4 or it's DLC's, but if you want to have those fancy graphics and more to do than just stick with GTA 5 SP, don't even bother with GTA Online since it's a waste of time and real money.

The wheel actually is a scam, all the cars you win for free have massive insurance costs if you break it, not 300-1,5k, up to 20 to 30k of money you will waste.

GTA is about crime and being a successful criminal. A gambling DLC is just what the game needed. Also there's a limit to how many chips you can buy at a time. Chips that are also dirt cheap by GTA standards. Chips that you can also sell to make back the god damn money. No different than in real life where gambling will more often than not make you lose a lot of money. That's the point of the casino DLC. To expand o the criminal element of a game that is built around being a successful criminal. Also it's not just slots. You a Spin The Wheel that's a daily thing you can do that's like completely free every time. There's also horse racing, blackjack and something else that I can't really remember. Let's also not forget the 5-6 new co-op missions added as part of a mini storyline to save the casino from some rival Texan gang (it's currently owned by Chinese Triads), which once again really fits the game's criminal element, on top of having really good payouts (by GTA standards again). Also R* and Take 2 do care about their players to some extent. They're pretty silent about it but they do; the passive mode fixes are actually huge. Passive mode was being abused for as long as Online has been a thing and now they actually patched it so people use it the way it's meant to be used. If you want an ACTUAL shitty DLC to criticize then take the Arena Wars DLC which added more Adversary modes that barely anyone plays outside of double money and RP events followed by the most overpriced everythings locked behind shitty trade prices. Or how about that other DLC that came with the shittiest research function ever? But hey, I will use these examples to back my point of R* and Take 2 actually caring about user feedback to some extent. They haven't added anything remotely related research ever since the DLC that completely backfired. I trust they'll do the same when they go about adding a DLC similar to the Arena Wars. But the DLC in general are really good. After Hours for example and other DLCs that added businesses like Gunrunning, Import-Export, etc, have been really well received and for good reason. The original Heists DLC back in 2015 and the Doomsday Heist in 2017 have also been really good and added a lot of new content. Each DLC is a lot more than just "Buy shark cards to have useless items". Your view on it is extremely unfounded and you need to look into it more before making such dumb claims.

There is more than horseracing and slots. There is blackjack, poker, and roulette as well (I highly recommend black jack if you really need to go to the casino) and yes the frame rate is almost as bad as downtown boston in fallout 4.

The casino isn't the only part as there are a few missions, new collectables sort of things where you can become a bird and take a dookey poo on tryhards. Best thing about the DLC were the few Quality of Life changes. Also, the gambling is banned in areas by Rockstar themselves, and some areas limit your ability of gambling with shark card money, and US/UK are free to do anything...

one of my friends bought $200 worth of Shark cards just to buy the Deluxo and the Kinjali tank, only for me and the other boys to blow him up with one hit and make him eat shit. Now that this DLC is out all the boys have spent pretty much all their time in the Casino, and I'm just there observing, listening to them scream their heads off that they won 200k on the pokeys. gtagivers is amazing. cheaters drop you millions of dollars so you dont have to use sharkcards or grind missions. i just use gta online as a hangout spot with my friends sometimes and at one point i had 97 million dollars all from gtagivers. all we did was chill instead of grinding missions.

Ik this is just my case and it's definitely not the same for everyone else but I've only bought Shark cards one time and that was back in 2016 when I first got the game and after like a day of playing I stopped playing and didn't pick it back up until November 2018 but didn't seriously grind until March of this year. Since then I've gotten all the properties (except the hangar but that's just because I don't want it) and fully upgraded them. I was getting super bored with the game and the Casino for me brought some fun back into the game with being able to play this gambling games with my friends and win 3/4 of the lucky wheel cars. You don't need to spend hours upon hours of grinding as long as you're doing it efficiently. The Casino is also great for making money but it's just boring if you're by yourself. Like I said this is just my experience and I'm sorry to anyone who either couldn't play the DLC or just isn't having fun with it

With this new update there is good tweaks and features, and there are many vehicles coming down the line to be released once per week over the next 4 or so months. There’s no good way to make money that was added, and content wise it’s shitty at best.

Yeah, you can use shark cards to get chips but I don't think you can keep trading in cash for chips as there's a limit for a certain amount of time you could do that. I've bought chips to get decorations for my penthouse, then I realized I couldn't get anymore after trading my cash in a little bit. Of course, I wasn't going to blow all my money away, there were some decorations I thought looked pretty cool, so not sure if this was in place for those who like to gamble away their money. Also, I did enjoy the update and yeah I'm one of those people who grind for cash on this game. Even though you have an opposite opinion than mine, I respect your opinion unlike those who do get butthurt over opinions.

I'm reminded of that Soith Park episode, I think it's called Premium is not Freemium, where they explained the micro-transaction business model. This takes it to another level. I have no issue watching guys like Vanoss and Delirious screw around with this but they did a couple of videos and moved on. The dedicated guys are the problem. I kinda agree and disagree with this DLC at the same time; I, and the GTA community have wanted a DLC like this for a while, but then R* went and made the casino super hard to profit off of. GTA Online is not for everyone. And even though I truly find this game entertaining, there are blatant problems like the ones they’ve described. But I wouldn’t say it’s all bad. They actually did make some good changes, like Passive Mode Having bigger cooldowns and no longer being able to use a weaponized vehicle while in passive mode. Which for those who play, was a serious problem. Nevertheless, everything said here is valid criticism.

in retrospect the casino update was one of the last fun dlcs for me rockstar were scummy here and still are but at least in 2019 they made it somewhat fun

which dlc in gta is not a scam after ill gotten gains? the doomsday heists is literally rockstar saying "Hey you know all of the missions in gta singleplayer, what if they were online and filled with new vehicles that you'd have to sell your real life possessions to afford?, wow how we do dat?" literally the submarine is the only new mission that takes place in a different location.
