there isn't anything like aerodynamics in any game, its a "simulate aerodynamic". If you have seen the video, you would have notice that he writes about the notion that hoodless and doorless cars are less aerodynamic, as too why the busted open car was slower in the end. NOW, if the car is not driven, but hauled, you would negate that false aerodynamic hinderence on the car and judge them only on brute weight, thus confirming if car parts do play a whole in the vehicle's weight.

lucashc90 there is no simulated aerodynamics in GTA. He brought up aerodynamics as a way to justify the results as realistic, even though it's likely that the game simply does not take the weight of the doors, hood, etc. into account.

To the spoiler no spoiler test: The old cars and old DLC cars had no extra physics when it was about tuning wings and tires, but since the cunning stunt update the newer DLC do have an effect. Best example the RE-7B. Anyway great tests again dude!

Weight is very interesting factor in GTA. Yesterday I was preparing a sale from my CEO warehouse. I landed my Frogger on the back of a Tug (boat). After I started to accelerate, the whole ship heavily leaned back and to the right, fortunately my helicopter slipped and fell overboard, so I could finish this mission without sinking. ;D

I hope people don't get the wrong idea about spoilers in this. They are the only piece of body mod that give a car any increase in performance. Not typically in straight line speed, but almost always in corner speed. And it's usually quite a dramatic difference.

Idk about braking with 4 persons. If the car is heavy its harder to slow it down. But if you brake you have more friction

It must be noted that spoilers *do* make a difference in terms of car handling. Spoilers increase grip on most cars; you can even see the Traction bar increase in Los Santos Customs when you apply one. So, yes, put a spoiler on your car.

Taking the doors and panels off for weight reduction actually does work in my experience. With this video, Vucko took the trunk off, which I've found to be a horrible idea. In my experience, you usually want to keep the trunk and rear bumper on, but take everything else off, doors, front bumper, hood. I'll do some testing, just in case.

I have done some testing, and it does in fact, appear to slow your car when you take the body panels and doors off. However, a couple cars of mine have no difference, panels or not. I'll test them a little more.

I think that the no door car's going slower is actually realistic because doors complete the object's aerodynamic shape and without doors, lids etc. too much air is filled inside the vehicle causing pressure heavier than the weight of those parts.

As always another great video from Vucko. If you are going to make a third part (hope so) i have a suggestion for you to test. You know these garbage trucks (mostly seen around the port- Elysian Island or in the countryside) that sometimes are empty and sometimes loaded? You can test if the weight of the garbage makes the truck slower.. Have a nice day and keep up!!
