05:35:30 - Usually any modern aircraft fully capable of flying with 1/2 of their engines operating. Number of independent hydraulic and electrical systems are usually equal to number of engines - in this case: 2 engines, 2 hydraulic and 2 electrical systems. Thus you're right - this crash IS fully for cinematic effect lol Just FYI - almost all Boeing designs have cable driven control systems still. But Airbus, on other hand, has gone fully "flight-by-wire".

Airbus A 320 actually has three fully independent hydraulic systems for example, but I have no idea what a small jet like the one in the game would have (probably only 2). That being said, if they lost all hydraulics like they say in the game, that would make landing almost impossible, since like Josh said, you wouldn't be able to turn or anything. There was an Air Crash Investigation episode where a cargo plane in Afghanistan took off, was shot by a rocket and then landed without hydraulics. They managed to land and turn the plane by only using thrust. They were lucky that the rocket hit them immediately after take off, so they were close to the runway, otherwise it would've been impossible for them to land. I always thought that this mission is probably based on that incident. But of course there's a lot of mistakes there, especially the flight controller telling them to pull up their slats lol. Still, it's a cool mission in my opinion, more realistic than most movies at least.

Isn't killing that Lifeinvader CEO help Lester manipulate stocks, which you eventually join in on when doing later Lester missions ? I swear the Lifeninvader stocks actually tank in game after this mission or am I imagining things ?

Yes, Jay's death does affect the stock market, as well as the other assassinations that Franklin can do for Lester. IGN listed all of them as steps you can take to get the max amount of in-game money which is 2.1 billion

Decent point about the Lifeinvader mission tbf, feels more like a mission that should be in something like Watch Dogs 2 rather than GTA V, and why would their HQ even be in Rockford Hills in Los Santos anyway, surely it would belong nearer San Fierro 🤔
