the special summer dlc was supposed to be a cops and robbers dlc but due to the BLM stuff that was happening that year, it was cancelled and theyre not planning on rereleasing that dlc which I honestly think is stupid since it wont really cause controversy now

I actually think of NFS Rivals, largely because of the Blaine County liveries featured. In Rivals, the standard black-and-white cop cars were considered _"Patrol"_ cars that could better match pace with Racers while not being as tough. Whereas the black-and-grey cop cars, like the Blaine County variants featured, resemble *_"Enforcer"_* cars that were better brawlers at the cost of lower performance.

Fun Fact: There is actually a police variant of the Fugitive it says on the description it's a great cruiser for law enforcement and a police scanner will say Police Fugitive on the files and also a blue lights on it's lights texture so yeah it has a police variant but it's cut on the final game.

In a Police DLC you could literally be a cop by going to the local police office, you'll appear on the map with a special status just like Securo and MC, and you could win money by killing people with bad behavior... wouldn't it be great ?

An idea I have is we work for corrupt police officials disguising our as officers in which we use this vehicles. We fight gang businesses over los santos to boost our pre-existing businesses. We could get a status maybe as an "agent" like club president and securoserv ceo in which we could have our own missions.

@@walangaccount8984 that’s not bad idea but I say we get hired with our new found service to the IAA and we use our criminal skills to assist the police but we can also do corrupt missions benefitting our business like the mafia did in the 1900s but we could also do police work and get paid like contract missions like stop a bank robbery or car thief or chop shops and get money from the state based off of how many people you arrest or cars you impound legally and while driving around you can get random events of special FIB most wanted warrants( like exotic cars) and if you arrest the suspect you get like $15000 and if your jails at the police stations are full you drop the prisoners off at the penitentiary and get $25000 but you got to fend off from NPCs trying to break their friends out

Actually, Rockstar was indeed planning to release a Police DLC. Instead, the summer DLC we first had as DLC was originally Cops N Crooks DLC, but thanks to the 2020 protest, Rockstar scrapped the idea and put the summer DLC in, which I don't think is what we wanted. Maybe it's plausible that they'll release the DLC or call it something else sometime in the winter. Because of The Criminal Enterprises DLC, in this case mainly the IAA bureau missions.

If they dropped a Cops N Crooks faction inspired DLC that implements Vigilante play styles. Like say combatting criminal players it would completely rejuvenate the game. A completely new perspective that’s still on the grey lines, but allows players to play a perspective outside criminal activity whilst targeting other criminals. PvP would change as there’s actually sides to take, as well as actual objectives and real payouts for targeting other CEOs and Bikers instead of indiscriminate griefing.

Since we're hardly ever gonna receive the supposedly forever-shelved "Cops N' Crooks" DLC, and R* preventing us from having a personal police car at all costs, I'm starting to believe that we're never gonna get it (Not counting the huge useless RCV and the mods of course). They even missed the perfect opportunity by not making the brand new Greenwood into an undercover cop car. IAA has undercover cop cars but somehow decided not to make that into a police vehicle is just straight up shame.

["Edge of the Earth" muffled noises] In all honesty, I've been waiting for years to see some update to police. Some police sportcars would be really nice. Not to mention fun, but it also would've improved the lore. I mean, it's kinda idiotic, how cops with beretta's and crown vics try to "keep order" in a city chock-full of supercars, armed supercars, flying motorbikes, flying sportcars, railgun-armed tanks, 10 nuclear subs parked in the bay and so on... Just imagine, what would it have been, if players had an ability to own, mod, *convert* police cars and act as police through some mechanics... That would've been real fun. Couple of days ago I cruised in my classic WRX St... I mean Sultan RS, and then suddenly a player in FBI Buffalo started chasing me. He didn't shoot, blow me up or whatever, we just had an honest 5-min long chase. He even wrote things like "damn we lost him, send backup" in chat. I was hella happy that I added the aforementioned Edge of the earth to my self radio couple days earlier... God that brought me back to my 2005-2010s'... And now I feel even more disgusted with all this Floyd-BLM-twitter-war-for-tolerance (read: reverse discrimination) spectacle...

US police departments don't have Lincoln navigators. However, many American police departments have Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Chevy Impala, Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Ram, Chevy Silverado, Tesla, and Ford Fusion. Police today use mainly Ford Crown Victoria, Ford explorer interceptor, Ford Taurus interceptor, Chevy Tahoe PPV, Chevy Impala PPV, Chevy Caprice PPV, Dodge Durango, Dodge Charger, and ect. NYPD now have Tesla.

@@xbacongrizzler6929 No, they don't use European cars in America as police cars because they're too expensive and cost hella a maintenance to fix. American departments prefer American cars as police cars because they're affordable and reliable. Most new American police cars have 300-400hp. The 2020 Ford Explorer interceptor now has 400hp from a 3.5L V6 twin engine EcoBoost and a 10 speed automatic plus a 150+mph. 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. They don't have European police cars here.

True not the Lincoln’s but the car seen in the video is to represent the newest Ford Expedition which is used by police departments you can tell by the fancy accessories being taken off like sunroof and other options and not European car but I have seen some county’s use Toyotas for undercover units and special units like parking and auxiliary

With how popular LSPDFR is, and even before that with LCPDFR, I'm surprised Rockstar hasn't tried to do something with a police expansion or a standalone game. I feel certain if they took GTA and then made a police story and sold it as it's own game it would have made tons of money too. Even if they outsourced to the folks that make some of the absolutely wicked things I've seen used in some of these FiveM servers they still would make money hand over fist. Agreed I was just playing LA Noir and though yeah it alright game but if they mixed with GTA graphics and era for better looks and gunner missions like responding in different version of LA county vehicles like CHP LAPD LASD and you could use fast cars or fast suvs and a online mode of cops vs robbers basically shut down five m and making it assessable to all platforms and they could get license to IRL car brands so be all the more coolers and realistic

Fun fact - Police Fugitve had been in beta GTA V, but this my own speculation. Southern San Andreas Super Autos descripton look like: "The Fugitive is the go-to cruiser for law enforcement. The gas mileage isn't so great, but cios mostly sit with car idling anyway." That could be a Beta Cop car on this game.

Imagine that Rockstar will completely update the police system in GTA Online, replace all police equipment, give the police new weapons. The police will become a real threat and not just a pain in the ass, the police will finally be on a par with the players. 1 wanted level - Dominator GTX patrol cars appear 2 wanted level - Buffalo STX appear with Dominator GTX 3 wanted level - Bravado Hellfire police cars appear, Conada police helicopters and also police versions of the Speedo Custom van appear 4 wanted level - police versions of Coquette D10 cars and police Menacer appear 5 wanted level- the police get MK2 guns And also Rockstar will made a new storyline where players will investigate where the police got new weapons and equipment, who finances them, and in general who is behind all this

Wrong. The gta community is full of miss information. The real reason the police dlc was scrapped was because rockstar thought it wouldn’t make sense to be a criminal and a cop at the same time. They did the same with rdr2, can’t own a house because you’re on the run with camps and the wilderness. The truth is the dlc was actually a planned dlc to launch early on in gta’s life cycle, around 2014-15 but was ultimately scrapped until dataminers found traces and named it “cops and crooks”. This has nothing to do with that incident. People just love the pull the race card.

@Reeve I agree with you concept for the DLC I’ve been planning this for awhile and my idea is similar to your but with slightly different ideas instead Jock Cranley should be elected governor of SA and he notices this rise in crime and knowing he seeks help and now after the ULP missions your are given the chance to purchase and maintain a Police station ranging from multiple stations around the city and county including new sheriff and highway patrol and new online sites to purchase station and cars in your station you can add a garage and impound lots for passive money income and you can purchase gun lockers, better staff (SWAT/Cop NPC), Better holding cells. Furthermore this dlc can add new cars, new outfits (new combat helmets, new category of service belts to add to your uniform and a category for holsters such as chest holster or leg holsters, New bulletproof vests) like detectives, swat, patrol, formal, vintage, new contact missions, new event races and pursuit series or vesspucci job missions, new guns such as the Glock-19, Mossberg 500, beanbag shotgun, Flashbang, expandable baton, handcuffs to use on NPCs or potentially online players, lever action rifle, .338 rifle, the judge revolver, speed gun(would be nice when watching online players race to see which car is faster and by how much), new interaction menu options such as requesting backup(swat optional), tow a vehicle, paramedics, fire department, corner/csi, prisoner pickup, air support, request to have a street blocked(be nice for street racing without using a job or the tuners building), new random events of people who have warrants similar to exotic cars or drug vehicles you can drive past people with warrants and for $15000 you can arrest them and take them down and similar to the newly updated bunker you can take prisoners to the penitentiary for extra money such as $25000 but you have to drive the bus and you are being chased by NPCs trying to break the convicts out be something roughly like that

It would be interesting to see the LSPD and Blaine County PD update their fleet. They’ve been pushovers for years and are just fodder for explosives.

Maybe now they can keep up with faster cars use advanced tactics and roadblocks. Or maybe they can get deployable spike strips like in nfs rivals or in nfs hot pursuit. But they can make them less annoying to deal with by adding lights at the end of the spike strip. And maybe they should put more efforts in making a roadblock that actually is difficult to avoid. They can make it like nfs world where they can place roadblocks almost anywhere. The cops in gta aren't really a challenge.

@@alexmaximus9134 All of that would make the LSPD so over powered, but considering all the cars we’ve been given over these past 8 years, it would be a refreshing touch. Perhaps, Rockstar could even rework the cops where on a 1 Star Wanted Level, they’ll use non-lethal force if necessary to arrest you. Not out right kill you every time. Just like Story Mode.

i think the ASP wouldnt make a good cop car, and i think if rockstar would ever make such a dlc, they should prioritize on making police versions of OG cars and 2-3 newer ones. Such as the Granger 3600LX or Buffalo STX or Caracare 4x4 or Dominator GTX. Also the Police Pounder or a completely new car as a "mobile control unit" or something similar where you can upgrade cars into police cars. Would be really epic. I dont think there's anything else that could fit into GTA more than these.

Fun fact: There is a police variant of the buffalo (not s or stx) but a marked version that made it into the final game but there is a really rare chance that it’ll spawn in the city centre but you’ll just have to get lucky to get it to spawn

You can’t get it in a regular gta online anymore. It’s hard to get to spawn in storymode even. But I have capture jobs that me and my buddies used to use to RP with on PS4, we had the marked and unmarked Buffalos. Along with LSPD Vics and unmarked Vics. Sucks rockstar won’t do anything cause they’re still losing a lot to 5M and other modded servers.

The Fugitive is based off of the Australian Holden Commodore: The former 'Go to' car for police before GM shut Holden Down. Now, in NZ at least, Sköda has replaced Holden for the Patrol cars. (The commodore is still our primary Highway Patrol unit)
