This is now patched as rockstar added some strange "Activation required" tab if you start GTA in offline mode edit: you must go online start the game, wait for the update required screen to appear, then close the game, go offline then start it back up for it to work.

didnt work for me. i play on gameversion 3179 but now when i start the game there stands gameversion 3258 in the right corner. my gta5exe. is 3179 so that makes no sense lol

Huh. Even after reverting back to 3179, it says you’re updated to 3258? Maybe I can try to upload my 3179 files to Google Drive for those who want to try and see if they work. I’ve never done that before, so it may take me some time to figure it out.
