Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. They were understandably nervous about his re-appearance in Liberty City, so a trip down south seemed like a good idea. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He's set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City seems to want Tommy dead. His only answer is to fight back and take over the city himself.

I would strongly recommend you save after every 5 or 10 hidden packages found. It was really annoying collecting 40 and suddenly my game crashed

Or worse, you are not particularly colleting them all at once, so you get a few, go make a few missions, then you die and return to the last save(Manually since I'm playing the original version) and forget to collect them again, so when you get back to collecting packages you'll have to do everything again until you find out which one you forgot about.

So I was stuck at 99%. I spent a few hours going over everything!! Now I’ve finally got 100%. Here’s how I did it - I reloaded my autosave and drove to collective (59) I didn’t use my helicopter whatsoever. I think the helicopter was the reason the collectible wasn’t spawning at all. I reloaded my game saves a numerous amount of times and the collectible wasn’t there. If anyone is willing to try it.. reload your autosave and “drive” to collectible 59 - that’s if you don’t have collectible 59. I hope this helps anyone that’s struggling. If you’ve gone over everything.. reload your autosave and go over everything again.. that missing collectible may show up! Good luck.

for those who are missing the hidden packages at Escobar airport (helipad, barracks, inside) just try if you have a previous save where does hidden packages appear, preferably a save where you have not collected. apparently there is a a bug or smth. If you're missing one hidden package. Check the airport inside area. I've just found my last missing one. On the second floor in the airport there are two corridors for the planes access and first time I went there, I only checked one corridor, but there are two of them. Make sure you've checked the two corridors and let me know if you collected your last missing package. I'm playin on Xbox one ..

I just dug out, cleaned and lubricated my PS2 then found my Vice City game after a 7 year hibernation for both. Over the years of playing V.C., I had found only 21 hidden pkgs. @@iambdwilson Don't mention it. I am playing the game again, and go to the video, get back to the game, look on the map, go to the package, already takes too much time. And when you finally get acesse to the choppers, you have to search each timestamp to find out wich ones you missed, takes a few hour at least. I did the same on the rampages and stunt jumos videos, if you search the comments, you will find it.

There is a way to do 44 and 45 without a helicopter at the very beginning of the game. Pick a PCJ 600 motorcycle, do the required stunt jump in Prawn Island into Film Studios and land it on the roof. You can even exit from the ladders to your left

Hint: If you’re tired of your helicopter blowing up as they’re fragile…go for the sparrow helicopter. Hope this helps!

OMG!! After running through this three times, I finally found all of them. First time, dropped the video since I didn't have have patience. 97/100. Second time is today. 99/100. It was so closed, after checking the airport over and over. I swear it's not there. But the airport has so many identitcal areas that makes it easily confused if you don't land on the exact box. Third time still today, finally found the last one, which is #14. One of the beach house. It's so hard to find because you can't really drive on the beach and the beach house doesn't spawn when you're on a helicopter For those whose missing 1 or 2. Remember that #14 is above the list of green patch (grass). Not in the middle, not the bottom. Check your mini map!!!

PSA: I followed this guide, had collected about 8 before this. I ended up with 99/100 at the end. I scoured Reddit, blogs, etc to see if it was a bugged achievement, despite the dozens of complaints; I found the flaw. If you DIE, before you save at any point throughout the searching, you’re probably gonna lose a few of those and will miss them. I know this to be true because #29 was the missing one. In my search I was constantly dying around #17-#40 because I was learning the durability of the helicopters 😂.

Check 20 and 59 if you are missing 1 or two left. Sometimes we forget we have to save the game manually in order for it to save as progress.

Just to correct something, there are zero mission requirements for any of these packages, they are all in the map and are all accessible in the Definitive Edition before visiting Paul Rosenberg for the first time. It gets you 9% complete and all the accompanying items/vehicles before the first mission. Unfortunately, unlike the original PS2 version, buying businesses has been blocked off until certain parts in the story progression, so getting to 70% completion or higher without doing story missions is not possible anymore.

Doing this scavenger hunt on the PS2 was a little hard cause the color on the hidden package was darker and didn't have a white glow around it unlike the hidden packages in GTA 3.

Before watching this video. I tried to find every package from my memory. (I’ve been playing this game for 20 years) I managed to find 70 packages without following this video. Pretty please with my self. But now I get to find the ones I missed lol

Pro tip: collect 70 packages then buy the Hyman Condo. Doing it in this order will cause the rewards to spawn on the roof near the helipad. So you'll have Ocean Drive, Vercetti Estate, and Hyman Condo for the rewards.
