As someone that did grew up with San Andreas and loved it, VC and VCS still has that something else going on, VC was my introduction to GTA, vice city is just a nostalgic area for me in general. I do understand why Rockstar didn't want this on PC, the competition at the time was SCARY and they feared dropping a game that is so much smaller than SA even if it's jam packed.

What was always strangely awesome to me is, that VCS got an entirely new chopper model with the Armadillo. Such a detailled and accurate model, too. Don't know if it was included in any other 3D title, but I haven't seen it since. Kinda strange considering this was on PSP. One would think they'd just reuse the Leviathan or Raindance instead.

Instead of screaming of joy because you're playing this game (which I'm very tempted to do), I'll just say this thing that I realized - in From Zero to Hero, when Josh said that the song's chorus is timed with when you get to the bridge, I realized that that's probably the reason why Lance goes such a weird way. Instead of going on the main road and directly to the bridge, he takes a weird turn that takes a little longer so that the song has time to get to the chorus before they reach the bridge. I wonder how many little things like that are in this game, where they made a seemingly weird decision that only really makes sense when you look closely into it!

Vcs is the first gta game I ever played on my old psp. I agree that it has the best radio stations of any GTA, my favorite was wave 103, it’s literally all excellent songs. It is my favorite gta for radio but tied for least favorite in gameplay.

I would legit pay 100 bucks or more just to play this game without forced auto aim I already did play it with only using the manual aim on purpose but it's awkward I want this game with proper aiming no auto aim so bad, for LCS it happened they did a mobile port and bc of that we got an amazing PC port of LCS with proper aiming ( re LCS) if only we could have the same for this

For what it's worth, I genuinely didn't even parse the "Lance doesn't get kidnapped in GTA 1" joke as a joke. I just thought "oh, well, I know Vice City is in GTA 1, so is Lance mentioned there in some side comment from a mission giver or something, making him technically a GTA 1 character too? I never knew, Josh sure knows a lot about GTA" and didn't think of it further.

VCS Any% PSP is a super hard category, I used to run it a long time ago but it's harder than SA Any%. Doing a PS2 Any% run would be soooo much work to learn coz it'd be slightly different to PSP, but just as hard ahaha So unlikely I'm afraid.

pcsx2 with strong gpu is much better, don't forget widescreen and 60 patches, even hd textures pack and more

the only thing that irritates me about VCS is how blurry it is. i dont even mind the graphics but its just way too blurry. i havent played the entire game through yet but its peak

Turn off trails. I think Josh did disable it at some point in the VoD temporarily. It makes it look like PC version of Vice City speaking of aesthetic and colors, but it makes the game much clearer too

@@JukaDominator We are talking about PS2 version on console, I assume. There were mod porting LCS to PC but that's dead. You can play those in emulation, either PCSX2 for PS2 version or PPSSPP for PSP version. I personally prefer PPSSPP because it's easier to set up, less resource intensive, and PSP versions of the game are just better
