Here's a hint on GTA IV : Rather to shoot the engine to destroy the car , it's best to shoot the rear wheels of any cars in the game because their fuel tank is located at the rear and light the fire up more quickly in order to destroy the car faster. That's GTA realism physics at its best back in 2008.
